President George W Bush welcomes Colombia's President Alvaro Uribe to his ranch in Texas, they went for a drive, held a private meeting, and then held a joint press conference. After lunch they spent the afternoon discussing regional security and diplomatic issues.
Further background can be found at President Alvaro visits Crawford
Vice President Dick Cheney is leading a delegation to Saudi Arabia to pay respects to King Fahd (no photos or report to be found almost as if there is a media black out on this). This is strange in 2 respects one no photos and that all reports seem to indicate that all other countries sent people the previous day to the Memorial Service.
Yesterday Secretary of State paid her respects to the late Saudi King Fahd by signing the Book of Condolence in the Saudi Arabian embassy in Washington.
New U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton in his Security Council debut, pressed Syria and Iran to do more to stem the flow of terrorists, arms and funding into neighboring Iraq
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island
Happy Birthday
Thanks for posting that wonderful photo, snugs. What I like best about it is that it shows the President of the United States paying attention to his dog instead of the gaggle of reporters.
****Justa we have a Rummy bad tie alert he is wearing the charity shop gear again****
I have a scarf with polka dots just the size of the ones on Rummy's tie. It's white with black dots. It got so out of style that it came back in again. Then it went out again. I've retired it for the next wave of polka dot fashion. Hey, maybe Rummy isn't out of style. Perhaps he's just ahead of the curve.

"MSM sweatin' in the sun--my favorite way to have them!
Yep and looks like they were having to stand on DIRT with their $500 dollar shoes while sweating."
And I bet they're none too happy that Crawford doesn't have the $500/night hotel rooms they're used to staying in or the 5 star restaurants. Must be like camping out for most of them. Too bad (hee hee)
I wish I had his attitude about the media....(I'm sure he laughs at them) but alas, I'm more like "Poppy"!
They probably thought the little girl should have been dressed in low rise jeans and bare midriff and the little boy in gangsta' rapper type stuff, and maybe his wife should have worn flip flops. I like that they were little kids dressed like sweet little kids. I think that it was a little too refreshing and in good taste for the jaded depraved media.
Amen..Thank you for the article..
I used to wear ties like that in the 1980's every day, I though it was way fashionalbe back then--lol!
My nephew used to repair the planes the Blue Angels flew. He was part of the team. Now I hope he's in heaven WITH the angels.
She probably IS almost as close to him as his wife in many ways. She's his closest confidant, his dear friend, works closely with him. I'm sure it was meant as a joke. The MSM picks up on anything they can to discredit our President and Condi (and any other pubbie).
He had a fever this time, too. He's out though. Only was in for the day.
I buy my husband's ties at the local thrift store. Some of them are really beautiful--from professors and such, ya know. He hates wearing ties!
Every time I think they've reached a new low, they lower the bar!
Sorry about not being on the thread last night but I got off work too late to be the first to post.
Oh, well!
maybe tonight I can if we don't get any t-storms.
