Breaking News from CFRB 1010AM News Radio - Toronto
Airliner on fire on the ground at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ). Unclear as to cause. Announcers asking for updates from motorists in the region on HWY 401. Report says great deal of smoke. I have to go into a meeting shortly but I'll listen for updates as long as I can.
It's wild ass speculation because 99%+ it's not even terrorism and when it is it's 75% or more probability that it's not a SAM.
I've been in several airplane accidents and near accidents and not one SAM yet .........
Ah, but the strawberries!
That's where I had them...
CP24: No word of fatalities as of present.
Yeah it seems everyone got off alive
"Reporting that Globe TV is reporting 291 passengers -- and all survived."
That would be a miracle. Hope it's true. It still seems awfully early to report everyone survived. I could see such an early confirmation if there were 20 or 30 people on board; but upwards of 300?
Whoops, forgot to sign that post.

Who pissed in your corn flakes this morning..
Get-home-itis
Darn right. I was there when Karl Rove hit the Wright Brothers' first craft with a SAM right after takeoff to help distract from the looming troubles in Siam.
LOL!
"Yeah it seems everyone got off alive"
Don't know where your getting that, but lets hope.
No fatalities according to Canadian authorities.
FoxNews John Gibson said that the plane was 'certificated' to be able to disembark all passengers within 90 seconds in emergency situations.
Go away conspiracy troll.
I know a bit about airplanes, you just make crap up to serve your silly theories.
Local police are saying that the pilot was taken to a local hospital.
That won't be the case at LAX next time.
People give flight attendants a hard time, but they are in those planes to save lives in times like this; not to serve drinks (but they do that too). I bet they did their jobs well this time. I hope everyone thinks about this the next time they look down on an FA.
My husband is a pilot. Knowing him, I'm confident that he would have waved off had he known how severe the weather was.
Knock it off.
