I accused someone the other day of changing "it's" (I don't know if it's a guy or a girl) mind depending on how the wind blows. But I think we all do to some degree. Maybe it's just we hope she'll show up - and can be fixed - but if not just please let her parent's be able to grieve, not just stay in this pattern.
Mark Furman points out that OJ only had 6 attorneys.
Who is paying for Joran's 9 attorneys?
Furman says defense will hire other attorneys and experts for their team to keep them from being used against the defendant. Interesting, but still have to wonder who is footing this bill.
Well the one with the legal connections, and palms greased along the way are paying now. Wonder how many attorney's there are on the island?
Hey! Thanks brother. :)
I can use the blessing!
It must be like the Groundhog's Day from hell for them.
I can't believe the landfill digging had to stop. Wonder how much higher the sludge will be by Monday.
Ugh even the thought of that movie makes me cringe, but you're right, probably very much like that for them. Did they stop because their permit ran out? Doesn't it seem like if they wanted to be helpful at all, they would put new garbage on another part that's already been searched?
Not only did the permit expire, the guy who could've renewed it vamoosed.
I hope there's something in place to prevent the re-trashing of that spot.
How Beth stays as gracious as she does with all this monkey business is beyond me....
Anyway sounds as though a good number are either tied up on this case, working on it or doing commentary.
Thanks, I missed that somewhere along the way. I have another question--is the prison that's on the island only for arubans? or is it a multi-island prison?
It may be that PvdS tied up most of these lawyers with retainers to keep the Holloways and Twittys from using them.
And without being able to speak with Natalee.
We can't go 3 or 4 days without at least talking to our kids on the phone.
With how Beth keeps journals, I wonder if she's not writing letters to Natalee too just in case she can read them some day, she'll know everything Beth was doing.
Isn't this pathetic? To have people looking for your child in a landfill!
Beth Twitty is a super woman. Her courage and faith, her poise and patience, and her incredible self-control, in a search for her child who has "disappeared"...well, she could be a model for many of us. The woman has A1 class!
That just makes me want to cry.
I'd never ever accept her death without proof.
So wouldn't that be obstruction on his part? (If it were the US and we were playing by our rules?)
Nine attorneys. Is that a fact?
Maybe most of them are working pro bono as in faithful Arubans defending one of their own. Just more speculation.
OR Papa VDS has loads of dough,
OR Papa VDS has loads of contacts with loads of dough.
And one final "OR": Some higher-ups in Aruba want this case to GO AWAY! Whatever it takes.
Again, just playing amateur detective.
Hope you're ok and come back to us soon.
Miss your pings.
Muchos grecias.
No, anyone can retain lawyers.
Right, I just never thought about retaining a 'bunch' of them as a defense mechanism so the other side couldn't have legal representation.
