If some of the MBHS kids know something more than they're saying about that night/early morning, I can see why they would clam up. If Natalee had "let her hair down" and was behaving out of character for her, they wouldn't want to rat on her. If that were true and others in the group indulged in a last night burst of fun and freedom also, they are hardly going to single Natalee out for criticism.

Absolutely not! She is mysteriously missing and, tragically, could be dead.

While the question has occurred to me, as far as I know, there is NO EVIDENCE THAT THE MBHS GRADS HAVE HIDDEN ANYTHING THEY KNOW.

LOL. I thought you were saying that it was not shameful if they got moderately drunk and engaged in immoral activities.

I agree with you 100%. Each person will view this the way it best fits their mindset. IMO.

This case has so few irrefutable facts that we cannot know for sure what has happened to this poor girl. I do think Joran knows what happened. I don't know if he killed her, delivered her, or did indeed leave her alone on a beach in the early morning hours. (I am less likely to believe the beach story because it really doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Some may think it's viable, but I just can't buty it.) I'm afraid that unless someone reliable comes forward with proof of something this case will end up like Amy Bradley and Joran will be free to go do whatever it is he does.

" There is a good chance that Natalee made decisions that put her in a compromising position that may have cost her her life. "

I disagree with your speculation. There's no proof of what you say. It's not Natalee's fault that she was either murderered or kidnapped, imo.

There is a good chance that Natalee made decisions that put her in a compromising position that may have cost her her life. Her friends turned their heads because when they saw her leaving with these guys it was not unusual behavior to them, it was typical.

You know, this is just ugly. And has no factual basis. I saw on another thread that you assumed that the family of the missing little boy that was found dead was quiet because they were illegal. (Which as someone who lives in the general area, I never saw even a hint of that on the news about that.) You seem take some kind of pleasure in blaming the victim or the victim's family for SOMETHING in a tragedy. You also seem to need to tag team with other people just to stir up the pot. Shame on you!

I agree. The MB kids are being asked questions that they cannot answer. Because of that it makes them look guilty of something to some people. I can understand that to a degree. But I don't think any of them had anything to do with her disappearance. They are probably feeling very bad about this and wish they had paid more attention to what was going on. They can't do anything about that now.

Is that the problem then! Do we have happy hour all day long and the result is all this bickering...or maybe happy hour is too long in coming. It is a good thing that knives aren't operable over the internet.

Fill me in on Joran and the family dog, please. I missed that. Truth or speculation?

TJ Ward will be on O'Reilly. Guess TJ hasn't been arrested, yet.

Excessiveness is the issue. Take the Catholic school teacher at the boys school.....maybe drinking had a little to do with her behavior. Likewise for most people ...excessiveness.

I saw the interview went it was first aired. I heard what these two said, but Frances Ellen Byrd made a conflicting statement. Also, I believe many of the kids later conceded they were too drunk to have a really good handle on exactly what transpired.

Again, the stories are so numerous, it's impossible to know what is fact and what is not.

I just can't get my mind around anything other than a simple murder case. I just don't think there is anything more to it. There is no evidence that Joran knew any of these bigwigs, let alone was some kind of procurer of women for them. She was last seen with Joran, that is your suspect.

I don't think the hours are that happy. I think there is a lot of tension while all are waiting to find out about Nat.

This thread needs a happy hour...and it will have one (a long one) after we get to the truth.

One needs not be from Alabama to defend them.

No one does not have to be from Alabama to defend them. But you still did not answer the question.

Is this your reason for asking?

No, the reason is that your posting is very similar to postings of some of the MB students that post on the Scared Monkeys site.

Also you have posted: Posted by Li-Li to cajungirl On News/Activism 08/04/2005 2:37:34 PM CDT · 1,061 of 1,187

Can you post a picture of Dave Holloway. I have neither a dish nor cable. Only the ABC's networks. Thank you much.

You must visit others that have cable tv!!

I have nothng personal against Nancy Grace. It seems as if she is conducting a courtroom questioning. She is boisterous, doesn't give a person time to answer. No wonder it's confusing to the interviewee. Always in a hurry.

Mr. Rip: Apparently you are posting and you have not even read posts short ways back. Caught ya! Greta has indeed talked with one of the Kalpoes, for about 30 minutes. You are only posting paragraphs of inuendos--meaning nothing. Just words. You are taking the pleasure from the chatters.

I agree with your post, Truthluva. I feel the MB students will always carry a certain amount of guilt - even though unjustified - that they could have done something to stop this horrible tragedy.

It's the *if only we did this* and etc, sydrome. Natalee's friends must be in terrible pain over the loss of their friend. Their behavior on talk shows, is probably due to being nervous and therefore some of their answers don't come off as they planned. Also, some of the laughter and smiles that have been talked about, could be due to anxiety or nervousness.

The MB kids are not used to being on TV. I remember reading some of their posts on SM. They were reluctant to appear on shows and said they were constantly being called by Fox and others. I believe what Beth stated this past week about Natalee thinking she was getting into a taxi. Beth spent time with those kids and what she says is good enough for me.

We know Joran is a liar.

We know the Aruban authorities who don't want this case solved if their actions are to be believed, have held him on good cause for some time.

We know the prosecutor thinks he either kidnapped or killed Natalie.

You are assuming she knew she was in a car not a taxi.

It is amazing to me that your speculations all seem to blame Natalee, assume the worst about her and paint a picture that she caused her death or abduction.

She was not in trouble as the car pulled away. But trouble happened later and she was not the cause of it.

Drinking, flirting and gambling are harmless activities. Murder and kidnapping are a whole other thing.

Some here would focus on the former, why, I don't know.
