Has anyone seen any polls?
there are no real recounts here. The always come out teh same.
THE DEM DOESNT EVEN SAY HE IS A DEM IN HIS ADS BUT OF COURSE THAT WONT MATTER TO THEM OR THE MSM
yeah, those 50+ speeches on social security did wonders. while on that tour, support for the iraq war fell 25+% because zero attention was paid to it, and SS private accounts are going nowhere. and scott mcclellan can't string a 5 word sentence together in rebuttal to the rabid white house press corp.
LOLOLOLOL
You forgot that she has a face like a would stop a clock.
She also comes across like the worst nightmare of your mother in law when she tries to speak up.
She doesn't sound passionate she sounds like she needs a straight jacket.
Generally the better looking candidate wins.
Kennedy over Nixon.
Nixon over McGovern
Reagan over Jimma
Clinton over Dole
Bush over Kerry.
Policy matters a lot. But looks matter too.
I misread the numbers. Post 552 includes what I said earlier, everything except a few precints in Scioto, and about 90 precincts in Clermont. It will be more like Schmidt by 3-4 points.
I know Washington County is up there with Ozaukee ( The election of Glenn Grothman proved that) I don't know about Waukesha though.
This would be a great state if it weren't for Madison.
Pray for W and Our Troops
Not so.
Hackett ran as a Republican.
He used the President as an endorsement.
He lied his way to 49%.
bottom line; a small win shouldn't be surprising, but a win is a win.
Dems can try to spin a 5% loss as a win, but F'em. All crap.
It means that Schmidt as a candidate is about as uninspiring as you can get.
And I'm tired of holding my nose and voting for the lesser of two evils...
US HOUSE Ohio 2nd Dist
662 precincts of 753 reporting
JEAN SCHMIDT | 49,681 | 50% | ||
PAUL HACKETT | 48,811 | 50% |
Republicans can't afford these low-turnout elections. Someone needs to build a fire under the voters in special elections. Are these Bush voters unaware that Hackett said he doesn't mind paying higher taxes? As a lawyer, he can afford them, but I can't imagine Republicans going for higher taxes anywhere.
1. An A-Team opponent from the dems
2. Bob Taft and his crew
3. Schmidt's tax vote.
4. A tough grueling primary.
I think partisanship, and maybe NRA/Right to Life saved her.
It's now done except for about half of Claremont County, and Schmidt leads. It's over. It's now a question of margin of victory.
tightened up again...

I was not referring to your numbers. I thought Schimdt was up by 4 when she was up by 2, so I had to make an adjustment.
