Has anyone seen any polls?
I doubt it's a screw-up. Misleading press release, perhaps. But one can support Operation Iraqi Freedom, especially working as an intel geek, from locations other than Iraq. Especially if as a reservist he was called up specifically to support this operation.
This should have the info you're looking for....
Except for the District of Columbia!
What's so funny?
FYI..Ron Brownstein..the LA Slimes political reporter, just now on CNN, said that privately Dems are telling him that if Hackett can get to 45% , they will consider it a "huge victory..and a sign of Bush's weakinging support"..Sounds to me like they've gotten some exit-polling data, and are trying to severely scale back expectations..
Having heard his bilge spewed on Chrissy's show he does NOT know what is going on in Iraq and insults our Commander in Chief on top of it. He looks and acts just like a slimey crooked lawyer or a Chicago alderman.
He was a Civil Affairs officer according the endorsements by some Ohio "News" papers.
ah, thanks..MP..BTW..see #144
The lefty sites are going nuts because Rush apparently called Hackett a "staff puke".
You're referring to Hackett. On that post we were talking about Kirk.
such pretzel logic!! HA! You win when you loose!!

Sorry! Should of followed the thread back father.
Sounds like a long overdue reality check. You don't need exit polls to know that Hackett could not win this seat under any circumstances short of Jean Schmidt being caught in bed with her poodle.
It seemed to me, that since he was actually in Iraq, that he would know more about it than someone that wasn't there.
"By my figures, President George W. Bush won the 2nd District of Ohio with 62.30% of the vote"

Nora O'Donnell just said essentially the same thing a few minutes ago on MSNBC. Apparently the DNC talking points have been distributed to their allies in the press.
I hope Rush didn't call anyone serving in Iraq a staff puke--in fact I assume he didn't. Anybody going to Iraq is going into a danger zone, and we have to support them. I wouldn't want my nephews (two of them) that are serving there right now to hear that some jobs over there are denigrated.
I didn't hear it myself, that's just what they're saying on those sites, so take it with a grain of salt.
CNN started this crap more than three weeks ago...that's when I (as your neighbor in New Castle) first heard about this election.

Everyone who's been to or served in Iraq is immediately an expert and knows more about it than everyone who hasn't been there.
This leads to interesting conundrums when person A, who's served in Iraq, agrees with the analysis of person B, who hasn't, and person C, who has, agrees with person D, who hasn't.
When A and D disagree A must be right, and when B and C disagree C must be right -- even though A and C have opposite views of the situation.
