President Gore would have apologized and surrendered on September 12th.

Dark Diary (What COULD of happened)

Ouch! Please! I teach high school and I see this all the time!

Someone PLEASE correct the title to:

What COULD'VE Happened
or
What COULD Have Happened

Thank you.

If Al Gore had won?

Or if President Bush had listened for even one second to the Blame America First crowd after 9/11.

There is a definite trend downward in language skills on these threads.

Sister Margret (5th grade teacher) is spinning in her grave.

The REAL faultline is the 2000 election. If the Democrats had "created" a few hundred more votes - or if Elian Gonzalez hadn't been in the minds of Florida voters...

Shudderingly scarey. Rumsfeld's "feeding the alligator" scenario made frighteningly real. The alligator just gets bigger and hungrier the more he's fed.

At least you didn't use the ever popular new word 'prolly'. ;^)

Dowd made a mistake by using Bush's name throughout this piece - he should have written it using Al Gore. It's a pretty accurate assessment of where a Gore Adminsitration would have taken us.
