VP Cheny has announced that he will not run for President in 2008, thereby saving the life of veteran White House correspondent, Helen Thomas. Dressed in her traditional ratty suit and 'bed head', she declared that she would commit suicide if VP Cheney ran for President. Showing compassion for this long-time denizen of the White House Press Room, Cheney has officially bowed out of the 2008 run.

Poor Helen, she is such a hag and a crone. In a way, I really do feel sorry for her. God forgive me, but she is such a mess.If you saw her on the street without having seen her before, you couldn't tell her from the homeless.

How can the Secret Service give clearance (and access) to the White House to someone who has clearly made homicidal comments?

Everytime she asks a question now, McClellan should ask her if she's glad she'll die of natural causes. Now, that's funny! The possibilities are endless. He could preface every answer with, "Glad to see you're still with us, Helen," too.
Her whole rant is (surprise, surprise) so childish. Not to mention, talk about an empty threat!

The question here is did Cheney bow out before or after Thomas made her vow? Given her vow, I'm thinking it is a whole new ballgame and maybe he will change his mind for the good of the nation, (in more ways than one).
