Since we are doing all the fighting, we will decide which weapons we will use. Respectfully, this is a point of view which is causing us a lot of problems.
Canadians are well aware that not only have Canadian troops been fighting in Afghanistan, but that four of them have been killed and eight injured by US fire more, at least through 2004, than had been killed by enemy action. Similarly, the UK has experienced 93 KIA in Iraq, Italy 27, Poland 17, the Ukraine 18, Poland 17, on down to 1 apiece for Denmark, Hungary, Kazakhstan, and Latvia.
These numbers may not see high to Americans compared to our own 1792 KIA, but the citizens of all these countries consider their dead just as dead as our own, many of them increasingly question our motivations and conduct in Iraq, and ignoring their efforts and sacrifices certainly does not improve our position as we attempt to internationalize the War on Terror something, given the fact that we are badly stretched as we continue our efforts in Iraq, we badly need to do.

This article speaks the truth, the Canadian government and many of our citizens (lefties) are not to be trusted.

So. It is time, I think, for Canadians to stop apologizing for their government, and their "national opinion", if there is such a thing (anywhere - Canada, here, anywhere - it is a really ephemeral concept), and do something about it. I, and I am not alone here, am tired of hearing that "it", whatever "it" happens to be this week, is the fault of those assholes in Ottawa, or in Ontario and Quebec, and that the rest of the Canadian populace ought to be held blameless, by America and Americans, for the most recent outrage. Bloody hallelujah on that one, brother.

Well some who understands that there is more to one side of every story and that there can be more then one truth.Eight Canadians died as a result of friendly fire in Afghanistan after a American pilot ignore information telling him not to fire.Yet at the trial nothing happened did Canada withdraw its troops no in fact since that time we have increased our troop level on the ground in Afganistan to 2000 from 900 we have also been in command for a period of six months. In Iraq although we did not send troops we have agreed recently to sent a squad to train police.Someone also wrote on here that selling our oil to China was a threat to the U.S.A. We sell our oil and lumber to many countries.Yes you are our biggest trading partner but we are also yours and we have alot of oil second largest proven oil reserve in the world 178.9 billion barrels.Only Saudi Arabia has more.So when there wells dry up because of over drilling you will come to us.And just think we wont attack you for buying our oil!lol

You are either a chinese canadian or french canadian. I can tell by your engrish. The point about Canada's oil sells from Alberta to china is your government for years led the US government to believe that it would be for North American consumption in the future. If war would break out against China you can gaurantee that we would'nt allow oil from North America to fund the enemies war machine.

Sorry I took si long to answer you back.
What you should do is move to Saskatchewan or Alberta because that's were the Conservatives are :o)
