I know, I know...vanity!
I just heard about this show last night on O'Reilly. Steven Bochco promised a show with no politics that accurately covers what's going on in Iraq. The clips I've seen have looked great!
Why in the world would they pull over? Isn't that a no-no, for the reason revealed on the show?
IED scene is pretty lame...Never pull over on the shoulder...and the truck didn't move an inch.
I've seen vehicles that looked like all in them had to die and yet none did and then some that didn't look that bad that were fatal.
After watching the first show, I have found little reason or motivation to watch subsequent shows. I predict this will not be a long running series.
It did suck.
I am quite annoyed at the product.
yeah its amazing which ones kill and which ones don't....
Hubby was at Anaconda...when he first got there in 03 it was a sandpit with nothing...even had trouble for awhile getting there MRE's...now I hear it's quite a base...
This is supposed to be at least a year into OIF. Remember the sgt who got involuntarily extended after a year?
I'm guessing that cops pick apart cop shows just like we're doing here.
When did you get back to the states?
LoL!
I needed a laugh after watching that crap on FX tonight.
Thanks.
yeah LSA Anaconda really got ramped up towards the beginning of my time there, but I dont think I would have wanted to leave Victory for it :)
That's so true....I can't watch any military movie with my hubby...he nit picks it to death until I've lost interest....I know he won't watch this when he gets home.
I missed the beginning (South Park was on).
I caught the part about the guy trying to rile up the other black guy about how the LT was living in a white man's world and all that crap...
Like I said earlier, same is true for USAF guys when we watch movies like Iron Eagle or Top Gun.
Not me...hubby...he's been home since April 04...he did 15mos there..
Very little politics, with the exception of the Ivy League soldier, and it had a good look.
I'll continue to watch it to see if it keeps the same outlook.
Best line so far, "We didn't come for your oil, we came to kick your ass!"
Anaconda is a strategic base with a long term future, partially due to the long runways and partially due to its proximity to Iran.
And I recall the first C-5 that came in there...it was quite a treat.
Back in those days we didn't have enough water, no water heaters, and, as you recall, we didn't even budge for mortars if they weren't right on top of us.
Oh, I see.
3 ID Troops are gonna have a few konniptions after watching that tripe.
Give em room.
Top Gun was USN...and completely true all the way. lol...
Except that I think Tom Cruise is too short to be a real pilot!
I'm aware. Did my time at Miramar, though.
