URGENT! Air America to Counter Pro-American Event
Friends, today on Air America's affiliate, Talk City 1240, it was announced that Air America listeners will be mobilizing to counter our "I LOVE AMERICA" art exhibit and pro-American rally.
That rally is set to take place in Downtown Sacramento THIS THURSDAY, July 28th from about 3:30 PM, concluding at 10:00 PM. [Location of event is 1300 I Streets at the corner of 13th and I]
+ 3:30 PM The "I LOVE AMERICA" Exhibit Opens + 4:30 PM "I LOVE AMERICA" Rally Begins + 7:00 PM Event begins live broadcast on "Night Talk Live with Mark Williams" - KFBK 1530 AM
>>> We have a choice here - either we can turn out a giant crowd of pro-American and pro-military supporters, or else we can sit back and allow the "Blame America First" crowd to AGAIN dominate the news media coverage.
I won't let that happen, and I am asking you to do your part and join me. I will be driving from San Francisco to Sacramento to be there.
WE NEED AT LEAST 500 PEOPLE THERE - Please help us build that crowd!
I am asking that every one of you reading this make the effort to get there as well. Whether you come by car, bus or plane, please do what it takes.
We have been receiving media inquiries from news outlets throughout the nation. This has become a national story - the most recent front line in the battle over whether Americans will continue to stand strong and support the war against terrorism here on the home front.
So - please, make your travel arrangements if you have not already done so. And bring as many people as you can with you.
>>> Bring your American flags. Bring your children. Bring your extended family members, friends, neighbors, co-workers. Each one of you coming should be able to convince at least 1 or 2 people to join you.
If you know of ANYONE within 200 miles of Sacramento, California - please forward this email to them and explain how important it is for them to attend.
You can find more information about the event by going to the front page of our website:

Fondly,

So now there can be no pretense about this crew hating our beloved country.
Are they going to call the counter-protest "I Hate America?"
We had a little humorous thing here in Pgh. A contest to see who could best imitate Dean. It was public and media covered. Anarchist thugs showed up and made many intimidating getures and statements toward the contestants---causing it to end very prematurely. We need to develop some people who can do an effective unarmed response to this sort of thing. It is a little like the Brownshirts in Hitler's Germany.
So are they finally gonna come out and have a "We Hate America" rally and be done with it?
So they're countering an "I love America" rally and yet they get upset when their patriotism is questioned. Huh?
Just ask them why they're taking money from the children.
No kidding. I don't want to hear another Air America-supporting leftist say how much he loves this country. Despicable.
Maybe they'll call it the "I hate anybody who loves America" protest.
A patriotic counter protest could be called the "I hate anybody who hates people who love America" counter protest.
Hello Air America! This message is for you.
In American history, it was long considered the patriotic duty of every citizen to defend the nation and those who chose to serve were viewed with honor for doing so. Yes, there have been times when those who wore the uniform were in some cultural circles and enclaves looked upon with illogical emotions ranging from mild disdain to outright open discrimination of the vilest form.
The veterans of past wars were viewed as heroic, true citizens. During the Civil War, anti-draft protests appeared for the first time in American history. It was not until the Korean War that the leftist anti-war movement reappeared accompanied by a renewed revulsion and open avoidance of the draft returned and began a rise to preeminence. This vile action reached its zenith to include acts of violence during the Vietnam War fostered by a post WWII/Korean War boom in pseudo-humanist politicos and the self anointed university, media, and entertainment industry intelligentsia.
Despite the elimination of the draft in the midst of the Vietnam War coupled with the shift to an all volunteer military; the anti-military revulsion of these pseudo-humanists continued.
Now we are embroiled in a War against the latest forces of evil seeking our destruction after they attacked on our homeland for the first time since 1941. Yet, the hate of these pseudo-humanists continues unabated. They mouth the words "We Support the Troops" but, their actions betray them as disingenuous. These appeasement advocates fervently believe that all dangers of the world can be negotiated away in the manner of Lord Chamberlain. Woe unto them! They can only remember the words that Lord Chamberlain uttered upon returning from the Munich Conference; "We have Achieved Peace in our time" all the while forgetting that within a year of those words, the world descended into a global war of destruction and death on a scale unseen before because of weakness in the face of evil.
Though the concept of enforced service in the military may be considered as repugnant in many quarters of this nation, there should be no question that service in uniform to the nation is a right of passage into maturity and adulthood as a responsible citizen. Remember the words of President George Washington that; "The best way to preserve the peace and prosperity of the nation is to prepare for war." That means the nation's able citizens are duty bound to serve in uniform and that those who not only conspire to avoid such service but, work to enable others to avoid it do not stand for the preservation of the nation but, its very destruction.
Rather than the citizens who serve in the defense of the nation being reviled by the appeasers, it is those who avoid their duty and openly encourage others to avoid it that merit the full nation's abject revulsion and castigation; regardless of their past or current station in life.

I would wager that many, if not most of the people who feel the need to "protest" love this land as much as you or I.
I don't believe they 'love this land' as it is. They want it changed very, very dramatically. They want the following: all churches very, very limited (except Islam); they want everyone to have exactly the same wages, live in the exact same houses, eat the same food, receive the same grades in school, wear the same clothes, drive the same cars, read the same books. The list is endless. They do not in any way, shape or form value want people to have the freedom to open businesses, achieve more than anyone else, or express creativity through new discoveries. They want everyone to walk, talk, think, act, and BE the same. Incidentally, I lived in Beserkeley for years and know their mind set very, very well. They have no room for anyone who is different from them.
I apprecuate your points and will not dispute your personal experience.
From my experience, I'd say your description is a bit extreme, but I've never lived in CA.
"They have no room for anyone who is different from them."
- There is a vast majority on this very forum who feel the same way..............
If I still lived in Woodland, I would be there. Now that I live on the other side of the country, I really miss the rallies at the capital.
I'll be there in spirit, anyway.
(Denny Crane: "Sometimes you can only look for answers from God and failing that... and Fox News".)
You didn't mention if the media covered the intimidation. If they did not, you have wonderful grounds for a campaign calling their bias
