For any Boston Sox Fan Freepers (and I know there are some)please pray for Matt Clement. If you are watching the game, he was just incredibly hit by a hit ball in the head on the mound. He lied on the mound for at least five minutes, motionless. The most shocking moment I have seen in sports. Please pray

Just looked it up. Tito had 443 plate appearances (not AB) out of a needed 477, so it wasn't close.

$20 million a year would probably give me an attitude, too, I guess.Yeah, I think it would improve my attitude some... ;-)

Manny should go the way of Pedro Martinez, Roger Clemens and all the other crybaby millionaire whiners. Great players all, but I would rather see the team finish last than have to put up with their attitudes. They'd fit right in with the Evil Empire of George Steinbrenner. They deserve each other.

Good old NESN, they keep showing it over, and over, and over again.

Just found this thread and am learning that Clement appears to be relatively OK.
Prayers have been answered.
Best wishes to him from this Angels fan.

Glad Clement is okay.
He struggled as a pitcher for the Padres--I think they gave up on him too soon (sheesh--it's not like we were going to the WS anyway at the time), but he seems to have matured as a pitcher and done very well for himself.

May God watch over this player and restore him to health, in Jesus' name.
