Good Evening FRiends,
Just a simple prayer request for my Mom (Brenda) who suffered a heart attack early this morning.
We took her in to the ER today at about 4am, she was complaining of chest pains and shortness of breath. Dr's gave her Nitro, she stabilized. Flared up again later, they gave her more, she stabilized again. She has Fibromyalgia, so the first assumption was that this was a muscular problem which was just intensified by her condition, but later tests showed that she indeed had had a heart attack, albeit a minor one.
She's been incident free (with minor discomfort) all day, but they're keeping her in the ICU for observation and will be doing a procedure in the morning to determine where the blockage is, and to what extend there is damage.
Please keep her in your prayers, that the Lord will deliver her safely, that there will be good news from the procedure tomorrow, that He will guide the hands and minds of the doctors, and that the He will use this incident to draw her closer to Him.
Thank you,
IOTN and family
We lift up your child, Brenda, knowing that her healing shall come from You, the Source of every good and perfect gift. Great Physician, please carefully orchestrate every part of her hospital care and grant her doctors Your wisdom and direction. Calm her family members and help them to be a source of strength and reassurance for her. And Lord, we know that You will always bring good out of even the worst situations for those who love You. Please use this time of trial to bring goodness and blessings to Brenda and her entire family. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
prayers up
Our prayers are with you.
Is she having an angiogram or a SPECTscan/stress test?
They may end up merely "stenting" the narrow part of the artery...
Thanks for the ping, and I will gladly pray for your mother and your whole family, that they and you will feel ever closer to God and experience His perfect protection, comfort and the safety that is found only in His arms.
Prayers for your requests said. My mom had quadruple bypass and is doing great now. Wonderful things being done in medicine these days. May God's providence and blessings surround your family.
Minor or major...either way we are praying for the recovery of your beloved mother.
I'm so sorry! Sending prayers. Keep us informed.
Prayers for your Mom. Also prayers for you.
Praying.
Our prayers for your Moms' recovery.
Prayers for your Mom sent. God bless and heal.
Prayers for you and your mom! I know it is a trying time. My father-in-law, Paul, is in a coma. He has been that way for over a week. They have done all they can do. He is 85. If he doesn't wake up by the end of the week, they will probably let nature take its course. He has had a long, full, happy life. His wife died years ago and he is so lonely. It is so sad. I am trying to keep my mind on other things so I don't just cry all the time. This plus we are supposed to be moving to LA (Rancho Cucamonga) next month. We can't even think about that NOW.
Prayers for your mother and for our Paul. Amen.
Always a pleasure to pray for a FRiend.
Prayers up to our Heavenly Father in the Name of our Lord Jesus for your Mother's healing, and for peace for you as care for her and put your trust in the Lord for it all. Thanks for being a wonderful example to the rest of us of one who takes good care their parents.
Blessings to you my FRiend!
Many prayers for your mother, you and your family, IOTN. May He strengthen her heart and renew her faith.
Every step charted by His hand.
"Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with loving kindness and tender mercies;
Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's." -- Psalms 103:1-5.
Prayers for your mother and family, IOTN. It sounds like you got her there in time to get it under control and prevent more serious damage. Praise the Lord !
