Good Evening FRiends,
Just a simple prayer request for my Mom (Brenda) who suffered a heart attack early this morning.
We took her in to the ER today at about 4am, she was complaining of chest pains and shortness of breath. Dr's gave her Nitro, she stabilized. Flared up again later, they gave her more, she stabilized again. She has Fibromyalgia, so the first assumption was that this was a muscular problem which was just intensified by her condition, but later tests showed that she indeed had had a heart attack, albeit a minor one.
She's been incident free (with minor discomfort) all day, but they're keeping her in the ICU for observation and will be doing a procedure in the morning to determine where the blockage is, and to what extend there is damage.
Please keep her in your prayers, that the Lord will deliver her safely, that there will be good news from the procedure tomorrow, that He will guide the hands and minds of the doctors, and that the He will use this incident to draw her closer to Him.

Praise the Lord - she made it through the night ok - they moved her up to ICU for closer observation. At this point, we're just waiting for them to do the Cardio-Catherization and go from there.
Here's an added blessing that I was just made aware of. If they find any sort of blockage or problem that requires surgery, they'll be sending her to RI Hospital for the procedure. At RI Hospital, the cardio-surgeons assistant is my good friend and Brother in Christ from church.
Salvation - to answer your question, my father passed on when I was younger, but her ex-husband has been right by her side this whole time. As he is not saved either, I'm praying that the Lord will use tis situation to draw him as well.

All - Thank you so much for your prayers and support. She went in and had an angioplasty procedure done last night, which was a great success. All praise unto the Lord for His providencial care!
Doctor said that there were some other diseased areas, but nothing too major, and nothing that medication and dietary changes won't help. Lord willing, she'll be released late today, and could even be back to work as soon as next week.
