July 26, 2005 — Five Egyptian men with maps of the New York City subway system and video of New York landmarks have been arrested by the Joint Terrorism Task Force in Newark, N.J., ABC News has learned.
FBI and law enforcement officials told ABC News the five men — four illegal immigrants and one law enforcement fugitive — were arrested Sunday night following a tip to the Newark Police Department. In addition to the subway maps and video, the men had train schedules and $8,000 in $20 and $50 bills.

No visas. Fugitive. Lots of cash on hand. Maps. Video. Regional profile. Chemical and civil engineers.
Plus, someone called in a tip on them. One presumes that tip had additional data (e.g. explosives, poisons, etc.).
Like $1,600 per each? Remember they can't open a savings account. I've got over $7,000 in my checking account because I'm too lazy to figure out how to invest it and my wife doesn't see my statements.
Give them a notice to appear at their deportation hearing and release them.
I'm sure that is the last of them. We're safe now...
No doubt CAIR will condemn the Joint Terrorism Task Force with bigotry in this action.

Well, all the shark attack stuff in the news, plus Chandra Levy getting dredged back up sure gives me a sense of deja vu. All we need now is a couple of big solar flares and I'll really start to wonder what the cosmos is trying to tell us, LOL.
