Not a lot of money for four guys, really.

It's a goodly amount of money for unemployed individuals.

Like I said, they could be terrorist, but it's likely as not that they're just poor sumbitchs born in the wrong place.

So they get arrested and questioned. If they've done nothing wrong, they will be released.

Actually, they'll be deported. Too bad for them. I suspect that they were "causually" employed, probably driving a cab with someone else's license, for instance or doing day labor, or working in the kitchen of a local restaurant.

The terrorists are always steps ahead of us, and our self-destructive invitation to illegals and ‘no profiling’ is leading the way to our destruction:

Posted on FR:

“Yet New York, New York, its City Council and its mayor, Michael Bloomberg, continue to make it easier and easier for terrorists to slink around their fair city and possibly do it harm. You may not have heard much about this, but on June 23 the New York City Council passed a bill banning the questioning of applicants for street vending licenses about their immigration status. The vote was an unbelievable 42-8. And then on July 11, just days after the London bombings, Mayor Bloomberg put his signature to the legislation, which put an end to a legal procedure that had been in place since the late 1930s. Under the law that this new bill erases, applicants for street vending licenses had to show the Department of Consumer Affairs documentation of citizenship, or valid immigration or working status before obtaining their licenses.”

Exactly my point, my friend. The insanity is obvious to anyone with 2 synapses to rub together.

What is the payback for these liberal loosers?

If its money or votes, then there is a special circle in hell reserved for their traitorous arses.

"unemployed civil or chemical engineers..." Holy Shiite!!

Hmmm, New Jersey, New Jersey, that seems to ring a bell. What what it that happened in New Jersey?

Oh yeah, that's where the anthrax letters that killed a bunch of people were mailed from a few years ago.

I hate to say it, but I've carried subway maps, own a video camera and sometimes carry $50 and $20 bills

But do you illegally sneak into foreign countries as a muslim too?

So far nothing in this story is incriminating except they were illegal.

Having a name like mohamed is probable cause enough for me. Why anyone would want the name of a child molesting, sodomite, scum sucking thief is beyond me.

I'm not opposed to deporting them, but there isn't any convincing evidence of terrorist activities, or even sympathies. They could be terrorists, or they could be just poor sumbitches trying to escape some Arab hellhole.

With everything going on in Cuba, eg. Fidel losing power, or fear of losing power mounting after Hurricane Dennis, Cuba may be an unsafe place to go. For all we know, the Bush room is on this...as far as the terrorists go, hallelujah.

This just reinforces the "Because of Bush, the taliban is gone, Saddam's in jail, Osama's in a hole, Qaddafi has been neutered, Arafat is dead, and Vietnam is willing to talk change with the US."

Bush sounds like a horrible president to me (/sarc)

I bought a two-year $6000 CD the other day. Took about 10 minutes.

Thanks for the ping. Very curious that 5 illegal, unemployed 20-year-old Egyptian engineers sharing an apartment in NJ didn't get a knock on their door until there was a phone tip. I'm hoping they were actually under some kind of surveillance before this. I'm sure the FBI got more details than what's been told in the article: How long have they been here (other than the fugitive at 5 years), how did they get here, what's their source of income, etc.

I was thinking more along the lines of something with 10 inch aperture, gps level north and apanatic optics.

I carry a NYC subway map with me when I go to the city, the MTA gives them out for free at the token booths.

Don't forget that downtown Jersey City and Paterson are two hotbeds of Islamic radicalism. I've eyeballed the storefront mosques myself, it is as bad a Brooklyn. When the round-up comes, those two towns will be near the top of the list.

"...Maybe we can 'deport' them to Egypt, where they will be arrested and, ahem, properly questioned?...."

When we drop them into Egypt, it should be from a height of 14,000 feet, without parachutes.

In the War on Drugs phase, they passed a law making it illegal to carry more than $10,000 in cash without documentation. Over that amount it can be seized as drug money.

END THE WAR ON DRUGS, WE DON'T NEED ANYMORE KENNEDY FAMILIES..

"I hate to say it, but I've carried subway maps, own a video camera and sometimes carry $50 and $20 bills."

Still, I find these men to be suspicious. They lied to the FBI about other men being in there apartment. They claimed to be out of work and yet had $8000, and some of them are illegal. It's most definately not sitting well with me.
