It was a dark and stormy night. I was sitting back in the Mad Mammoth study, reviewing the latest threads on Free Republic, when my MSN Messenger icon barked that I had an email waiting.
I went to my InBox. What did I find? I had a very angry email from some schnook called 'lcjohnso' taking me to task for some long forgotten post I made on FR. Called me out. Wanted my address. Wanted to visit me with a bunch of his pals "anytime, anyplace", I'm wondering to myself "WTF is this nonsense?"
So I responded in a fairly cavalier manner, basically telling the misfit to pound sand and "get off the computer before your mommy gets home from the store".
I didn't think any more of it.
Until - "bark bark", MSN Icon was informing me of another NEW email!
I go to the InBox. Sure enough, it's this lcjohnso clown again, and that's when I realized it was really the one and only Larry C. Johnson, self-proclaimed expert on "intelligence", "terrorism", and author of that infamous NYT article in the Summer of 2001 claiming that terrorism was a "declining threat".
I poured another glass of Hiram Walker, on the rocks. I wondered what Johnson must be drinking, was it Boone Farm, Thunderbird, or M/D 20-20?
This time, I let him have both barrels and reminded him how pathetic it must be for him, a highly touted "intelligence analyst" to be reduced to trying to intimidate a lowly poster on Free Republic.
I signed off by encouraging him to "get professional help".
Haven't heard from him since, but since my original posts

I really don't care for the way you put the bad-mouth on MD 20-20.................
Well, sorry my FRiend, I based that on the number of winos I used to pass by in the Bowery, many of them clutching bottles of 20-20.
Maybe they had better taste than I realized eh? ;)
I'll have to research that as you suggested!

I sure hope so!!
They are definitely part of the problem. If their allegiance to liberal idealogy is stronger than their allegiance to the United States, they definitely have to be disarmed.

"You should be aware that one of our group helped track down and kill Pablo Escobar and other middle eastern terrorists."
And these are the same people who are so concerned with the leaking of priviledged persons and information? Hey Larry...why don't you take out an ad and tell us what other covert acts you've been apart of.
All you guys (including Plame and Wilson) appear to be braggarts, who have greater tendencies to reveal secret information as you pump yourselves up. And this is substantiated by Wilson, himself, who just couldn't resist telling everyone about his wife. I guess there is a reason you are all "former" employees.

Yeah, I was wondering when Pablo starting bowing in the direction of Mecca. I'm developing a new theory about Johnson, he didn't email me to make threats, or to intimidate me, he might have just emailed me because he was three sheets to the wind, an empty bottle of something on the floor, and it suddenly hit him that "waaaaiiitt a dayum minute, whhyyyy I'll just email that smartass mammoth, dont care if it makes him mad or not!! I'll show that disrespectful freep-creep!!! (hic!)"
And after the second email, he passed out until the morning sunshine smacked him in his big, ugly face.
I love it.

What we have here is another attempt at Dan Rathering the President and Karl Rove. Offering up phony people with fake credentials to back up the first liar, Joe Wilson. They think they can control the propaganda through their friends in the MSM and spin this guy as legit. But once again, they do not know the power of the pajamahadeen to dig out the truth.
I suspect that by the end of this weekend we will not be seeing much of Mr. Johnson anymore.

I've been wondering why Fitzgerald was taking so long. Now I see why! Methinks he turned over some rocks and found this nest of scorpions, pincers up, ready for battle, and he's sorting out the 'good guys' from the 'bad guys.' This should be interesting when it all shakes out!"Yep, that's my supposition too. CIA Director Goss is cleaning house....

Carrie,
Here's what is fascinating. Our testimony yesterday on this issue before a joint committee of Senate and House Democrats has been the most widely requested piece that C-Span has had in quite a while. Yet, most of the Main Stream Media seems to be cowering in fear at following this story. Pretty sad. Who is out there speaking on behalf of Valerie Plame? Only a few of us.
Pat Lang told me earlier today this is what would happen.
I won't be available for CBS in the future. No need to waste my time with you folks because, whether I spend time with you or not, the story gets ignored.

Just fell into this thread...interesting to say the least.
Anyway, the county prosecutor in St. Louis County, MO many years ago was named George Peach. He specialized in shutting down porno video stores and sex related businesses.
He also had an alias...Larry Johnson...who hired hookers and paid them with county funds.
That was a great Larry Johnson story for many years.

It was established that the emailer was Johnson based upon the same IP addresses/servers which link back to his self-promoting website, aka "Berg Associates". Johnson operates online via Comcast/Earthlink/Netcom.
It was Johnson. And if it were NOT Johnson, he would certainly have come out and denied it already.
The fact is, I've got the original emails archived with all header and trace information, and they will stand up to ANY examination that anyone wants to conduct.
