Tancredo's MAD Plan Makes Liberals Nuts

I often write columns criticizing President Bush for being a typical big-government, inside- the-Beltway politician.

Every time I do, I get an e-mail from some bonehead who concludes that anyone criticizing George W. Bush must be a liberal Democrat.

This is a common misconception and one that Tom Tancredo is straightening out quite nicely. Tancredo is the Colorado congressman who until last week was famous for being the leading advocate of enforcing immigration laws, thus earning a permanent place on the Bush enemies list.

Last week he became famous for something else: Tancredo proposed that we inform the fundamentalist Muslims of the world that if one of our cities is destroyed by a nuclear bomb, we will destroy their holy cities.

Predictably enough, this drove the liberals nuts. And the liberal it drove the nuttiest was the one in the White House. George W. Bush's State Department termed Tancredo's remarks "insulting and offensive to all of us."

The spokesman went on to say, "We unequivocally reject the idea of targeting Mecca or any other civilian or religious site by anyone."

Well, let's think about that a minute.

This is what Tancredo should really stand for;
1.) Repeating over and over that Islam is really peaceful.
2.) Forcing Israel to commit suicide by giving those peaceful Palestinians a sea port to import more weapons to shoot more Israeli grandparents in the back as they pull out of Gaza.
3.) Pussification of the military, by charging our soldiers with crimes for daring to shoot the enemy (happened this weekend and before).
4.) Creating the largest government in US history.
5.) Keeping our borders wide open.

You make the assumption (false I think) that someone like Osama bin Laden is OPPOSED to the United States turning Mecca into a pile of rubble. What makes you think he gives a rat's ass about it? I think he cares only about Osama, and the recruitment of his terrorist army. Islam is only a tool for him. He want's a Saddam-like job somewhere, and Islamic zealotry is his way to get there. Allah's Apostle said, "The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. "O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him."

I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "The Jews will fight with you, and you will be given victory over them so that a stone will say, 'O Muslim! There is a Jew behind me; kill him!' "

HADITH Sunan Abu Dawud [14:2526] Narrated Anas ibn Malik:
The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: Three things are the roots of faith: to refrain from (killing) a person who utters, "There is no god but Allah" and not to declare him unbeliever whatever sin he commits, and not to excommunicate him from Islam for his any action; and jihad will be performed continuously since the day Allah sent me as a prophet until the day the last member of my community will fight with the Dajjal (Antichrist). The tyranny of any tyrant and the justice of any just (ruler) will not invalidate it. One must have faith in Divine decree.

If the Muslims target one of our cities with a nuke, there will not be a Politician or LEO of any sort who will be able to stop what Americans will do. I would add that before we nuke Mecca we should parachute the entire State Department into it first.

If the United States is attacked under this President, I would suspect he would destroy all the military facilities of all nations that are known to support terrorism. He would destroy them with a nuclear response. The terrorists need nation states to support them in their asymmetric warfare against our country. By destroying them with a nuclear strike his message would be clear to any state that supports terror. The message would be this, "attack us or help those that do attack and YOU WILL BE DESTROYED."

I would be very surprised if Condi Rice has not whispered this into the ear of such nations as Syria, Iran, Korea, and perhaps Pakistan and Saudi.

I agree with you but I think Tancredo's position is based on the reality that Bin Laden and the Islamofacists would be much less dangerous if so much of the Islamic world did not (at least quietly) support them.

In this article, Mulshine cites a recent Pew Global Attitudes Survey that shows Bin Laden is supported by a majority of Jordanians (supposedly a US ally) among other Islamic countries.

If the people of the Islamic world realized there would be a terrible price to pay for even implicitly supporting and condoning the Islamofacists' nuking of America, they would take steps to make sure it doesn't happen
