Al Qaeda Threatens Rome, Berlusconi Personally Addressed

The Abu Hafs Brigades who claimed responsibilty for the two London bombing attacks published a fresh warning Monday, July 25 on their internet web site.

'After London, it is now Rome's turn.' An earlier warning by the same group gave Denmark, the Netherlands and the UK and Italy until August 15 to pull their soliders out of Iraq.

The Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi was warned that by failing to withdraw Italian coalition troops from Iraq, he would 'by his own hand turn Rome into a graveyard.'

The statement threatens the Italian capital with harsher and more painful strikes than the London attacks.

'As long as a single Italian soldier remains in Italy, you the prime minister can look forward to nothing but 'more and more blood.'

"If they nuke the Vatican, all bets are off"

Where did Mecca go? It was just here a second ago.

The total destruction of the Vatican (and Rome by extension) has been the stuff of novels ("Lord of This World") and prophecies.

Pope Benedict XVI will always sue for peace -- part of the reason for his name choice, the work and legacy of Benedict XV.

I fully expect Muslims to nuke or fire-bomb/dirty-bomb the Vatican. You can call them terrorists, extremists, cultural misfits, but they will still be just Muslims doing what Muslims have longed for--putting to death the Vatican and the Eternal City.

If the jihadists attack Italy, in any form, you will see all of us uniting for action...

Don't bring anti-catholic into it, that's the rabbit you pull out of your hat when you have no argument. He didn't name Israel when dispensing his condemnation on innocent civilians getting blown up.

"In other words, you suggest plowing every nation of historical muslim ancestry?"

What do you do with a wasp's nest in your back yard?

Their message is, "We're going to keep killing you until everything you own belongs to us."

What do you want to do, send in Jimmy Carter and Jesse Jackson to negotiate?

I don't favor using strategic nuclear weapons, because there are innocents among the inhabitants of any city. However, something effective must be done soon.

Frankly, I don't understand why we can't hunt these people down and kill them, but if we can't, nuclear weapons may be the only option.

And certainly, if mooselimb terrorists set off a nuclear weapon, Tehran, Cairo, Damascus, and Riyadh should be taken out within that hour.

Pakistan is hiding Osamma. If need be we should blow up their nukes on the ground where they sit before Musharaff is killed and the radicals take over.

Picky, picky. You are ignoring context. You want he should recite a long list of the last year or two or three year's terrorist attacks and condemn each and every one of them?

Why condemn the Pope? Why not use your valuable time condemning the terrorists?

The problem is that Vatican's hierarchies (not the Pope) are more close to Muslim-bastards than to Jews. They don't want to understand that Israel is the only democracy in Middle East.

>>Whatever the Pope is, he is not anti-Semitic, but it certainly sounds as though you two are anti-Catholic<<

Oh but he is a Nazi, don't ya know /sarcasm off/

I agree. It's funny how we only believe the MSM when it suits our taste.

Honestly, this is just an opinion...
Maybe it has to do with the fact that some of his flock was killed in the other bombings. Not too many Catholics in Israel.
I do agree, a mention of Israel would be appropriate, but perhaps if he had someone would have found a way to twist it anyway.

Bad Pope. Bad Pope.

Thank you for pointing out an important point (that the statements were made in answer to specific questions asked by reporters).

The first news report I heard about it made it sound as if the Pope had emerged spontaneously to chant the "Islam is a religion of peace" mantra and say "why can't we all just get along" - and then I went and read his actual statements, in context, and this turned out not to be the case at all.

So it's possible the Israeli government and a number of others heard only the media's version of the Pope's words and were not aware of what he actually said or the situation in which he said it. Granted, they shouldn't have made an international incident out of it - nobody should trust the press like that!

The Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi was warned that by failing to withdraw Italian coalition troops from Iraq, he would 'by his own hand turn Rome into a graveyard.'

Hmmm, by the same logic it would seem that by removing all Muslims from Italy, Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi could prevent turning Rome into a graveyard. As long as the Muslims remain so does the threat. Strike while their numbers are small.

Yes, I actually wish we nuke Mecca&Medina NOW.

In other words, you suggest plowing every nation of historical muslim ancestry?

Yes. An evil cult is an evil cult -- read up on how the Thuggees were destroyed in India in the 19th century. The same tactic must be used against slammies. Then, North AFrica, Syria, Lebanon, Anatolia etc. can return to being Christian nations and Iran to being a Zoroastrian-Nestorian nation.
