Al Qaeda Threatens Rome, Berlusconi Personally Addressed

The Abu Hafs Brigades who claimed responsibilty for the two London bombing attacks published a fresh warning Monday, July 25 on their internet web site.

'After London, it is now Rome's turn.' An earlier warning by the same group gave Denmark, the Netherlands and the UK and Italy until August 15 to pull their soliders out of Iraq.

The Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi was warned that by failing to withdraw Italian coalition troops from Iraq, he would 'by his own hand turn Rome into a graveyard.'

The statement threatens the Italian capital with harsher and more painful strikes than the London attacks.

'As long as a single Italian soldier remains in Italy, you the prime minister can look forward to nothing but 'more and more blood.'

A lot of people think the terrorists wouldn't dare attack the Vatican. Why not?

If they'll attack the White House and the Pentagon, they'll attack the Vatican.

Naw, after Iraq, the muslims will want all of Europe...

Even if the Muslims would do nothing, (like that is going to happen) Europe belongs to the Muslims in the future due to falling birth rate of native Europeans. Two Schools in United Kingdom closes due to Falling Birth Rate)

O.K., I've just about had it with all the anti-Catholic bigots taking a swipe at the Pope. First, take a look at the article frome Zenit printed below:

ZENIT - The World Seen From Rome -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Code: ZE05072505 Date: 2005-07-25 Terrorists Not Attacking Christians, Assures Pope INTROD, Italy, JULY 25, 2005 (Zenit.org).- Benedict XVI said that he wouldn't label the recent wave of terrorist attacks that hit London, Turkey and Egypt as acts against Christianity. Journalists asked the Holy Father today, after a meeting with priests, religious and deacons of the Diocese of Val d'Aosta, where is on vacation, if the attacks could be considered "bombs against Christianity." "I think that on the whole they are responding to a more general intention, and are not specifically against Christianity," he said. Asked if Islam can be regarded as a "religion of peace," Benedict XVI responded: "I wouldn't like to generalize. It certainly has elements that could make peace prevail; it also has other elements." "We must always try to identify the best elements," he said.

Now, look at the context in which the Pope made his remarks. Reporters asked the Pope if the recent attacks should be viewed as attacks on Christians. Its obvious the Pope's remarks citing Turkey, Egypt and London were in response to this question. Not surprisingly, in answering a question concerning attacks on Christians he DID NOT mention Israel. Since the attacks in Israel, I'm sure we all agree, are attacks on Jews.

You bigots have taken remarks made by the Pope in response to a reporter's question and twisted them out of context.

Moreover, it appears the Israeli Foreign Ministry has chosen to do the same.

Romans under Vespasian in 69 AD, when Christianity itself was but a group within Judaism. you want to accuse the Roman Catholic Church for work done by it's oppressors?

Good luck with that. You will never get the mid-evil war you speak of. You will get the "well this is what you get for pissing them off with Iraq" speech however.

'After London, it is now Rome's turn.' An earlier warning by the same group gave Denmark, the Netherlands and the UK and Italy until August 15 to pull their soliders out of Iraq.

August 15 is a major event in the Catholic calendar - the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.

Most are theorizing that the Vatican would be a prime target.

That would be a serious mistake on the Islamonazi's part.

The Pope didn't condemn Islamic terrorist attacks against Israel, and the Israeli's are outraged. Maybe the Pope thinks he'll head off an attack on the Vatican by appeasing Muslims. A fool's game.

You're an idiot, the Pope has been a more staunch friend to Israel than almost any other nation on earth.

As a Catholic take offense at this remark. Of course, the Holy Father is against all terrorism. Some people are too sensitive! I'm also getting just a little bit tired of some Israelis telling the Vatican who they can or cannot canonize(Edith Stein, Maximilian Kolbe) and demanding to be allowed to snoop around the Vatican library for items they think belong to them. What an arrogant attitude!

Marry me.
