Hispanic, Islamic Groups Want Tancredo Out

By STEVEN K. PAULSON
Associated Press Writer

Hispanic and Islamic groups called on Rep. Tom Tancredo to resign Monday, saying he has embarrassed Colorado by suggesting bombing Islamic holy sites if terrorists launch a nuclear attack on the U.S.

They also criticized the GOP congressman's staunch advocacy of tougher immigration controls.

"Enough is enough. We're here to say 'Stop,'" Hispanic activist Manolo Gonzalez-Estay told a crowd of about 200 at the state Capitol.

Abdur-Rahim Ali, imam of a Muslim shrine in Denver, said Tancredo's statement that "you could take out" Islamic holy sites in a retaliatory attack was unacceptable.

"What would happen if a prominent Muslim made that statement about Catholic holy places like the Vatican?" asked Ali.

Tancredo was traveling and unavailable for comment. His spokesman, Will Adams, said the four-term congressman has no intention of apologizing or resigning.

"They are a lot more upset about what he stands for, our nation's security and border policy, than anything else," Adams said.

It would not be in such a way as to kill millions not involved with it nor in such a way as to make OBL extremely happy. Do you really think for a minute that he and Al Queda give a shiit about Mecca? Do you not recall the heavy damage inflicted upon the Grand Mosque in Mecca about 20 years ago when the Iranians seized the building and had to be blasted out by the Saudi army?

While I believe the world would be a better place without Mecca I would not allow that opinion to be made public nor my response to a bombing.

Perhaps you didn't notice that I said I have no problem with blowing these Satanic centers to hell but follow Teddy Roosevelt's dictum "Speak softly and carry a Big STick." It wasn't "scream loudly and carry nothing."

Geopolitics is not a game of Double Dare.

I don't think it's being PC to be against nuking Mecca because of Bin Laden or Al Qaeda. It would be stupid. It would not be helpful to our objective in Iraq as the entire population would turn on us. We'd lose critical arab nation allies in the fight against terror and the Pakistani government would probably crumble and their nukes smuggled in or somehow used against us.
We have a gay bishop here in Maine. I don't agree with it, but I'm not going to condem the Vatican for this bishop's going a stray

I just realized what your screen name says "Just Shut up and Take it".

My only question, since I've read your statement is,,

Are you talking to 'them' or 'us'?

And 'Walk softly and carry a big stick' works fine for the bully down the street.

But you better be able to Speak up and Shoot straight if his GANG shows up.

The Soviet Union was the 'bully' who you can reason with once you beat him with your stick.

Islamofacists are the GANG you need to shoot first, and ask questions later!

And even then the 'QUESTIONS' are Optional!

And what 'Smart way' would you use to handle people that NUKED a U.S. city and killed millions?

He'll probably answer after watching the latest video of someone getting their head chopped off.

LOL!

I have yet to see a single unqualified answer to this question.

(By anyone other than Tancredo)

...there is not much we can do as far as using our nukes go UNLESS we were to nuke the country of origin from which the nukes came be it North Korea, Pakistan, China or Russia. Nuking Mecca would not solve the problem

You're argument is silly.

Sorry, but the ME doesn't work the way you think it does. Everyone talks. In totalitarian countries, and the ME in particular, knowing who you can trust and who you can't is the difference between life and death. In the ME, information goes from father to brothers then to sons then son's wives, then it slips to non/blood relatives from the wife to her father, to his sons, etc. It's a very sophisticated system.

At this time there's no incentive to turn in any of the Scummy Hated Islamic Terrorists Stooges.... Why should they? If they help us, they put themselves and their families at risk. When they know we'll take them out -- and not just Mecca -- they'll go after the scummy killers themselves.

And no, I'm not going to pretend that the maker of the weapon is responsible for the murder. That's so silly, it's hard to believe you bothered to write it. It's inner city stupid liberal logic. You can do better.

We know who the terrorists are, we know the countries that give them support and refuge, and we need to retaliate in kind. Mutually Assure Destruction. They nuke us, we nuke them. If they don't like that, they need to reign in their killers.

"There's two voices right now, and the noisy one is what I call the slam-the-borders crowd," Armey said. "The voice we want to speak with — and the one that will be in unison with President Bush — is the voice that echoes those marvelous words on the Statue of Liberty."

"To me, the Tancredo wing appeals to the more prurient character of our nature," Armey added. "We want to talk to the better angels of our nature."

Corporations and advocacy groups with a direct interest in immigration — including those who need skilled high-tech workers, farm laborers and university teaching assistants — are being aggressively targeted for membership. Those being courted include Microsoft Corp., Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and groups representing academic institutions, restaurants, hotels, landscaping firms, hospitals and nurses.

Do you and Cultural Jihad work out of the same office? You use the same arguments, and say the same things with the same wording. It's odd. She's Iraqi some say... are you?

Geopolitics is not a game of Double Dare.

Sometimes it certainly is!

Ever heard of the Cuban Missile Crisis?

I was young, stupid and scared, as was everyone else, but my support for president Kennedy was unqualified.

You don't get it - Tancredo is one of the few Congressmen who'll actually mention the elephant in the living room. If Tancredo apologizes and resigns he'll be giving what the Islamic/Hispanic groups what they want - more weakness and appeasement.

If you have an interest in my name look up "ironic" in the dictionary.

I have no problem with shooting first (although it is way too late to be first.) I have a huge problem with Big Mouths who make the task of defeating our enemies much more difficult. There are already a couple of hundred million of these murdering PoS on the loose I don't want a Billion.

Tancredo's comment was stupid, ill-advised, counterproductive to the WoT and evidence that the man is just not too smart.

I think it was a stupid thing for Tancredo to say...

Say what?

Do you think that (finally) an honest summary of this war on muslim maniacs is a "stupid thing to say"?

How far has this "islam is a religion of peace" bullshit that politicians, and even our beloved President, gotten us so far?

Tancredo speaks exactly what most of us feel.

I'm sick of appeasing these people after the atrocities they perform on a daily basis.

And what is so incorrect about bombing Islamic holy sites if terrorists (muslims)launch a nuclear attack on the US?

I believe the US should publicly announce what actions it will take should Islamic terrorists attack the US with a nuclear device.

You bomb us and we will bomb you.
