Geopolitics is not a game of Double Dare.

Sometimes it certainly is!

Ever heard of the Cuban Missile Crisis?

I was young, stupid and scared, as was everyone else, but my support for president Kennedy was unqualified.

That was almost nuclear war not a game of Double Dare. Besides we were speaking to a Nation not a bunch of Hide from the Light cockroaches.

Most of the negoitations around that issue were not public and no exaggerated threats were issued by Kennedy, nothing about "bombing the Kremlin or Lenin's Tomb." It was the Commies who were Blustering about what they would do not JFK.

Tancredo's antics remind me of Saddam's "Mother of All blah, blah, blah." Or those of the Whackjobs in Tehran or N Korea.
