The family of Natalee Holloway is now offering a $200.000.00 reward for information that will lead to the safe return of Natalee. A trust has been set up through Amsouth Bank in Birmingham, AL.

Fox Update 2
Tito Lacle confirms male DNA found on Natalee Holloway's toothbrush. Without additional information that either Natalee returned to her room alone, or with one of the boys, it's hard to understand the significance of this new evidence.
Also claims several witnesses besides the Gardner have come forward to corroborate whatever information is leading to the draining of the pond. Search is also underway for a missing shoe (sneaker) of Joran Van der Sloot.

Update A: Attorney of Joran Van der Sloot is fighting additional interrogation. Court hearing on Friday 2 PM. A procedural mistake in taking the DNA samples may delay the case. Possibility is that the judge allowed the DNA to be taken without the defense having been heard. This would present more of a time delay than anything, as the prosecution could re-apply for the permission to take the DNA samples.

DNA samples from suspects in the Natalee Holloway case may need to be re-taken because the correct procedure was not followed, the Aruban prosecutors office says.
Attorneys for Joran van der Sloot, 17, and Satish Kalpoe, 18, went before a judge today to protest DNA samples that were sent to a lab in Holland last week.
A judge is expected to rule Friday. Prosecutors argued they had the right to take the samples, but agreed the procedure was improper, said a spokeswoman. Tests arent complete on the samples or on strands of blond hair found stuck to duct tape, which were also sent for testing. Meanwhile, police brought in extra pumps as they worked to drain a marshy pond on the Caribbean island. They believe there may be a clue there based on information from a new witness.

They are looking for one of Joran's tennis shoes in the pond, and possibly, Natalee. It seems as though the theory goes as follows: Joran was trying to get rid of evidence (possibly her body, her clothes, etc) and while in the pond of 2' of water (note: very muddy), his tennis shoe came off of his foot from the suction of the mud. FOX News says today everyone feels something is going to break in the Natalee Holloway case....

They also said that several more witnesses have come forward with information FOX News (Studio B) said that Jug reportedly said the ALE told the family not to watch the draining of the pond. However, while On the Record last night with Greta, she asked Beth if she's been told to avoid the pond and Beth replied "No"...... so I don't know why it was reported on Studio B and then retracted on Greta's show. There also was a mention yesterday on Catherine Crier that Joran's family has a condo at the Racquet Club....Arubagirl's Mom heard the same thing, but nothing more was mentioned on any of the networks...makes me hesitant to post what I'm hearing, but I know you monkeys who do not have access to a television want to know...... so I will report what I hear.......

WOW! Really?!? Good gracious! That seems somewhat extreme, but I guess since this is an investigatory thread, people need to see exactly where we get information.

Assuming the DNA on the toothbrush did not come from a police officer, I think it will be a major development to determine who it did come from. It could indicate who Natalee had been with before that last night.
From the latest developments I have started thinking Natalee had been friendlier toward the Dutch boy than toward the Indian brothers, and that one of the brothers got angry about being rebuffed. Of course we are all going on bits and pieces since the local policy is not to tell all to the media like the US does.

Yes, it would. But it may still not mean anything at all if she "hooked up" with one of the MB boys. All it would take is a little kissing. Or even a game of "keep away" with her toothbrush. There are a million explanations, and even the simplest ones are not necessarily macabre. I guess we just need more information . . .

We shall see . . . I think the pond they are draining and the landfill area are going to provide the missing links, and hopefully some answers for the family. If they are making a big deal out of the toothbrush, it may be a ruse to take the attention away from the other DNA evidence that Jug and Beth said exists.
