Assuming the DNA on the toothbrush did not come from a police officer, I think it will be a major development to determine who it did come from. It could indicate who Natalee had been with before that last night.
From the latest developments I have started thinking Natalee had been friendlier toward the Dutch boy than toward the Indian brothers, and that one of the brothers got angry about being rebuffed. Of course we are all going on bits and pieces since the local policy is not to tell all to the media like the US does.
Yes, it would. But it may still not mean anything at all if she "hooked up" with one of the MB boys. All it would take is a little kissing. Or even a game of "keep away" with her toothbrush. There are a million explanations, and even the simplest ones are not necessarily macabre. I guess we just need more information . . .

We shall see . . . I think the pond they are draining and the landfill area are going to provide the missing links, and hopefully some answers for the family. If they are making a big deal out of the toothbrush, it may be a ruse to take the attention away from the other DNA evidence that Jug and Beth said exists.
Until it's confirmed that it is or is not JVS or the Kalpoes' DNA, it's possible that one of the other girls staying in that room had a visitor over who may have impulsively picked up a toothbrush while in the bathroom just to clean some specks from his teeth, and it just may have been Natalie's.
However, if it's determined that the DNA is in fact JVS or one of the Kalpoes, then there sure is a whole heck-of-a-lot of explaining to do...especially by those who were sharing the room with NH...just IMHO, of course.
