It's safe to say that the investigation was botched from the start. OTOH, if they don't find Natalee's body, it's unreasonable to expect them to dig up the entire island to look for one missing person. A landfill? Might just as well be a garbage dump next.

Some kook could offer up information that she is there, sit back and take a chance to collect the reward money..

It wouldn't happen over here. The search would have been called off long ago. So best of luck to them today and keeping my fingers crossed!

Holloway's stepfather, George Twitty, who was at a nearby hotel waiting for results of the search, said police asked the family not to watch as they worked behind a fence to clear the water.

That means they think there's more there than just her clothing or shoes.

We will find out just how much fear there is in Aruba once this case is solved according to the Twittys. And if they bring this corruption and fear to the light perhaps once again Americans, (with Natalee spearheading) will liberate others who live in bondage of fear.

What network? CNN? Why haven't they released it?

I don't know. But isn't there some law in Aruba if such info was made public it could jeopardize the prosecution of the case.

Landfill.

Remember in Utah, Lori Hacking's body was searched for, for weeks, in a landfill/garbage dump.

They finally found her. It took a long time though.

If there's a credible tip that N's body is actually to be found, her family won't stop looking.

If her body wasn't thrown out to sea, then she's on the island somewhere, and eventually someone is going to talk. They'll find her.

Now with the new police chief, things are moving. Last night on msnbc, the reporterette said that the govt is making demands that this case move forward.

Jossy Mansur is the one who claims to have seen the transcript of Joran making the confession about Deepak raping and murdering Natalee. He also said it appears Satish is off the hook.

I would at this time like to point something out if I may. It has been two months now and unless her body was placed in a freezer, the remains, when found, will in all likelihood be skeletal.

I think you're right....Jug has said numerous times that they have more info, but has been careful not to say too much. I think I heard him say last night that they were told about the draining of the pond and were supposed to not say anything....then they saw it on the news!

Yes.....and? Jossy isn't PMS-NBC. He has the statement or the network has the statement?

It makes sense that she would be buried there, close to the beach where they had said they were -- what is it? 500 feet -- 500 yards?

As others have pointed out, there wasn't enough time to plan a boat trip, not to mention the chance that her body might wash up.

These weren't masterminds, they were panicked young guys who were probably still drunk/drugged and couldn't think straight.

Yes, of course. Especially in that hot climate.

With Lori Hacking, they had a big clue from the Dumpster at the apt., that she was in the city dump. So they KNEW where to look.

In Aruba, my first guess would be that since the island is surrouded with water, that would be the logical place to dump a body...duhhh.

Sure, the Twittys will search...for years if Beth has too..But even with that, IF she is lost to the sea, then "forever" wouldn't be long enough to find her, JMHO.

Did you read this part?

The court says there is something wrong with the taking of the samples. It wasn't done properly. There was something wrong legally.

I thought Jossy was interviewed on MSNBC. Maybe it was on Nancy Grace. Anyone post the transcript yet?
