It wouldn't happen over here. The search would have been called off long ago. So best of luck to them today and keeping my fingers crossed!

Landfill.
Remember in Utah, Lori Hacking's body was searched for, for weeks, in a landfill/garbage dump.
They finally found her. It took a long time though.
If there's a credible tip that N's body is actually to be found, her family won't stop looking.
If her body wasn't thrown out to sea, then she's on the island somewhere, and eventually someone is going to talk. They'll find her.
Now with the new police chief, things are moving. Last night on msnbc, the reporterette said that the govt is making demands that this case move forward.
I could swear that the landfill had been searched.....shows how much I know!
My heart goes out to the family. Everette I see the mother on TV I am speechless as to how composed she is. It must be beyond bearable and yet she endures.
1. Joran (stolen from Jorell of Superman fame?!), according to the classmates, "stalked" her. He knew she would be leaving the island and was "desperate" to "do" her before she left.
2. The two dufi were a "cover" or "blind" to hide his intentions. After all, what could possibly happen if they all went somewhere together.
3. I wouldn't dismiss the possibility she was slipped a "Rufi" before leaving the "club" (what a hell-hole from the pictures I've seen,...like you'd actually drink out of a glass from that dump or use the silverware - yeah, right!)
4. I've seen several talking heads suggest she overdosed and may have choked on her own vomit (e.g., Karla's sister).
5. Seems to me the only possibilities are that they drugged her with the intention of having intercourse with her and she OD'ed, or they congressed her and then realized they would never get away with it and killed her.
6. Hiding her body on the island seems like a very bad plan. Of course these guys appear to be brainless junkies so you can never rule it out. But my money would be on an early morning boat ride ride as far away from that island as you get and dumping her body in very, very deep water.
7. Her body might have been disposed of even days later if well secreted on the island by some of their thug friends.
8. As always, this entire case could be cleared up in five minutes if these three mutants were placed in a sound-proof room with several NFL linebackers. I guess the confessions would gush out of their pie-holes in under 10 seconds. Of course that just would be the way we do things to get the truth is it?
