Hate is a strong word, but I do regret that Clinton was ever president.

He soiled the office (metaphorically and literally).

He divided the country along racial, economic and political lines to suit his own needs.

He manufactured one "crisis" after another (health care) while ignoring REAL threats (Bin Laden).

And he gleefully dragged the country into his "personal" sordid sex life.

But on the plus side, I think Clinton almost singlehandedly destroyed his own party--now that's a legacy!

1. Waaaaaay too Internationalist with American Rights & Property,

2. Extreme Disrespect, disregard & Dismantling of our Armed Forces,

3. Extremely poor-example of marital fidelity/chivalry towards women,

4. Too many finance-related Scandals/rumours-of-mismanagement over lifetime.

BUBBA...go to sleep.

Clinton brought fascism into the mainstream as a means to control owners of private property, and the black-robed Marxists assented, giving it the force of law.

Where does it say in the constitution that the federal government can steal your property for a kangaroo rat and tell you that using or developing that property is forbidden, all without paying a penny in compensation?

Creating de facto government nature preserves on private property is now the law of the land and its name is fascism.

Clinton is a fascist/Marxist thief.

I don't think that many of you get it. Do you think Clinton became the focus of FR because he was mildly disreputable? See post #2 and spend a lot of time on THE DOWNSIDE LEGACY ARCHIVES.

Hate is too small of a word for pure evil. All evil should be hated.

As soon as I heard the Flowers' story and how long it went on, I knew who Bill Clinton was.

Well it was not because he cheated on Hillary.

For me it was because he used the apparatus of the federal government to cover up his misogynistic use of women.

It was because he ignored terrorism. It was because he stood by and let 800,000 people die in Rwanda when he could have done something. It was because lying came easier for him than anything else.

It was because he was more interested in how his administration "looked" than how it performed. It was because he was manipulative and had no personal morals or values. It was because everything had to be about him, instead of the country.

It was because he soiled the oval office.

The only thing you can say good about Bill was that at least you know what he wanted from The Presidency. He wanted to fill his ego and pick up chicks. Hillary on the other hand scares the hell out of me on a level Bill never did.

The planet does not, nor has it ever revolved around bjclintons.

Bjclinton love affair with himself now appears to take on a new thread of a moth eaten cloth, those mean evil conservatives who HATE me. Talk about an attempt at martyrdom.

1) He sold nuclear technology secrets to the Chinese for campaign contributions,

2) Was handed Osama Bin Laden on a silver platter, and then let him go,

3) Brought the United States into the Kosovo conflict, despite the complete lack of US interests,

4) Murdered those who got in his way,

5) Was a serial adulterer,

6) Was a serial rapist,

7) Committed perjury under oath,

8) Obstructed the legal process,

9) Drove the United States into a recession with his wild tax and spend policies,

10) Made the United states vulnerable to attack after dismantling the military, and

11) Wasted 7 years of prosperity that was handed to him after 12 years of Republican efforts that turned this country around after a period of Carter-stagflation.

Gee, other than these things (traitor, murderer, rapist, etc)he was a really swell guy.

I despise him because he completely trashed basic rules of a civilized society and we are left to pick up the shattered pieces. His choices became our consequences. Even today, he still laughs about it and the MSM continues to marvel at this beast they helped to create. Societal rules and justice left this lawless man with only one mark, an *asterik by his name. *With the exception of Clinton. That is not justice in a society of rules.

...Did...

Still DO.

For starters: giving the Red Chinese missile technology for campaign contributions - that's TREASON.

Erenhalt doesn't get it. While Clinton may have been a consummate politician, he was all piñata and no candy. Dishonest, abusive, sneaky in his personal life, he was completely untrustworthy, even to his own allies. Loosely quoting/paraphrasing George Will, "he may not have been the worst president, but he was the worst man to have been president." The democrat/press incestuous relationship became quite clear and his presidency was papered over by a media, (with helpful polls) that only incredibly asked only one question about Juanita Broaderick, and was amazed at and admired at his capacity to dodge, weave and rationalise.

Any attempt to understand why people "despised" him without mentioning the very serious and cosnsequential events of his presidency(Technology transfer, credible allegations of violent criminal behaviour, serial terror attacks, Somalia, Rawanda, Waco)and how he responded is just an exercise in navel gazing.

In Bill Clinton we got see in stark clarity what the basic transaction is at the heart of liberalism: you let us kill our babies, we'll let you rape women.

My Dad's voting record sums up Bill Clinton. My Father was a conservative democrat and he voted for Clinton for his first term in office. By the second election my conservative Father was now solid Republican. He grew to despise the man in just four years, and this new Democratic party that treated him as a Demigod.

The generational issue is surely not the only explanation of Clinton hatred, but it may be the most persuasive one anybody has presented so far. Ultimately there will be others. The debate about Bill Clinton, about his character and achievements and moral worth, will go on long after the subject himself has departed from the scene. Clinton ''was too vital and too vexing a character to be easily forgotten or dismissed,'' Harris writes. This is a complex, interesting and subtle book about a complex, interesting and subtle man.
Chuck Colson was sentenced to a year in the federal pen for a single count of illegalling reading an FBI dossier without a legitimate purpose; Craig Livingstone wrongly gained accesse to 900 (if not 2000) of them, and walked. Somebody in the Clinton White House hired Craig Livingstone.

If it wasn't Bill who hired Craig Livingstone, he certainly covered up for whoever did. Anyone who was in the Clinton White House at the time (e.g., Hillary) is a suspect in that open case of malfeasance. If we can't convict the perpetrator, we at least shouldn't risk electing a suspect in that egregious felony to be the boss of the Attorney General of the United States.

The Democratic Party has essentially become frivolous. The establishment which calls itself "objective" journalism is simply nonfiction entertainment, and it has absorbed the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party nominates candidates for POTUS, but it does not want, and does not nominate, leaders for America. Following "objective journalism," the Democratic Party is a front group of second-guessers masquerading as leaders. And Bill Clinton is Exhibit A.

True though it be that Clinton's flaws are those characteristic of much of his generation, those flaws made him perhaps the worst president in American history - against stiff competiton from the other Democratic presidents of recent history.

A liar and a con-man, obvious to most early on.

Simple as that. His wife continues the same hypocrisy and triangulation today. They will say and do whatever it takes to get that 51%... that's their passion, their reason for being.

And that's why they're hated.

I'll align myself with Horowitz, which I usually do. If anyone knows the liberal mind, inside and out, it is he.

"David Horowitz (Mr. Horowitz is the founder of frontpagemag.com):

This is an interesting review, but I strongly demur from the view that Clinton hatred exceeds Bush hatred by any measure. Conservatives are more disgusted by Clinton; but they are not so blinded by their negative feelings that they don't appreciate Clinton's achievements, the centrism of his policy (when he wasn't surrendering his better judgment to interest groups), his brilliance as a politician. By contrast so-called liberals and leftists have a hatred of Bush that is so intense it reduces their view of him to absurdities -- he's a moron, a liar and evil. None of these are remotely related to any truth of the man or his presidency and the passion of belief in them is so strong that obscures any appreciation for his achievements in the war on terror and foreign policy generally which far surpass anything Clinton was able to do."

(And far surpasses everything that Clinton DIDN'T do, that we, as a Nation, now need to clean up.)
