How lucky for George Bush that his well-timed nomination of Judge Roberts to the Supreme Court has taken the heat off of Karl Rove. Let's hope that the press does not forget about Mr. Rove and the White House's role in the leak of undercover CIA agent Valerie Plame's identity. The Fitzgerald investigation and the Rove story are too important to stay off the front page. Not only does it reveal the truly secretive and subversive nature of this administration, but it exposes the major National Security implications of disclosing the identity of a covert intelligence officer. In addition, the story demonstrates the serious lengths the administration went to in order to squelch and unfairly discredit those that undercut their rationale for the Iraq war.
A Supreme Court nominee should not distract the country from the growing credibility problem at the White House. Journalists need to continue to launch hardball questions to press secretary Scott McClellan during White House press briefings. And the media, Democrats and the country should demand that President Bush show some leadership and hold accountable those responsible for this major breach in security. Let's hope that the media does not take the bait as the President continues to do everything in his power to shift the spotlight away from Karl Rove. We'll be watching...
That's right, Babs...from the sidelines, LOSER!
This from the same folks who deny Clinton ever wagged the dog...
Hey Babs! Too bad you hated the intelligence community before you found one you think is a lefty!
After all, I am a high school graduate. - Babs
So at what point between now and October would Babs and crew want Bush to put forth a nominee so it wouldn't appear he was "trying to change the subject"?
P.S. If Mary Jo Kopechne had your nose, things might have turned out different for her.
Just a sign that they know that Roberts is clear sailing. Instead of saying, we can't win, they say what we REALLY care about is this other thing.
MEM.........ories, light the corner of my mind.......
Misty water-colored MEMORIES, of THE WAY WE WERE....
Babs' slobbering drivel should not distract the country from the growing credibility problem of hollywood.
Oh, joy; rapture; babs is suddenly concerned about national security ("she" even capitalizes it!).
Dear Babs,
Yes, Bush is so sly-- waiting until there's a vacancy to nominate someone as Supremem Court Justice. But, wait-- I thought he was supposed to be stupid....
It's bs by bs.
i guess that takes the jeat off of tom delay for a while
The average time from Supreme Court vacancy to Supreme Court nomination over the past 25 years has been 3 weeks. W nominated Roberts in like 18 days, consistent with history.
Barbra, fweetie...you can say just as much as you want that Karl Rove blew Valerie Plame's cover, but that doesn't make it so.
posted (and lambasted) earlier today. doesn't hurt to smack Babs around again, though - it can only improve her looks and mentation... it surely could hurt neither
Dims think the nose knows everything. She doesn't have a clue on the Rove ambush.
