I heard a blurb today that the LA Port was encouraging ships to come through on 'off peak' times by charging less for processing than during 'peak times'...maybe this security story was related...of course I also heard that the Union was upset that this would create more work during the evening hours for 'less pay'...I probably heard this on FoxNews, but I have not sought out the specific weblink for the story...
There is a huge new facility being built in Houston to unload ships from several Asian companies that have been using California ports. The waiting time in California is cause by not enough union workers according to our press.
