Just Breaking announcement on FOX. No more info at this time.
Those "black bumper" Menonites can be soooo extreme.
Sorry I made a wisecrack...:-)
She's a real beaut! Very, very fast.
Rub it in..
Vey funny. ;)
No, no, not like that. These things are cheap enough for anyone to buy...for one thing, private planes increase in value by about 4% per year. Much better investment than most cars. For another thing, you can get 20 year loans on them if you need a little help on the initial purchase.
Now we know where the insects are, lets go exterminate them.
Probably shouldn't have said anything but it is the same posting on all these bombing threads and it just struck me wrong right now.
Guess it is knowing my daughter is sitting on an island off Italy and my son-in-law with his squadron are where there is no contact right now. First time they have been both been deployed at the same time.
Some AF types I know have kids in Turkey and in Egypt and the news coverage on TV is so louzy that when I saw the joking I overreacted.
It's those darn militant Amish again {either them or those usual oppressed homicide bombers, the Tibetan Buddhists).
A.A.C.
Stop militant Mennonitism now - register every buggy whip!
Don't you have fists?
What do you think passengers used on Flight 93? How do you think passengers subdued Richard Reid?
There's no BS about it.
We have not managed either relationship well.
There is 800 years of proof that the Turks can manage the Arab problem. And India is the only place where 200 million Muslims can live without constantly hacking off heads and plotting worldwide destruction.
It's about time we kicked the Mohammedans out of Istanbul, changed the mosque back into St. Sophia Church, and changed the name of the city back to Constantinople. This is what Churchill always wanted to do. The Turks should be driven completely off the mainland of Europe, not admitted into the EU.
Twenty lashes with a wet noodle! :)
I am glad I did say something because I am now getting a sense of humor back.
Believe me, if you needed me to defend you, you would much appreciate me with something more than just my fists. But either way, I would not hesitate. I just do better with "tools."
I will add a prayer for your children to my list tonite. All these stories are scary, truly scary, even when they are not on our home shores, the thought that the next one might be is with us all.
When I was a young girl I went to a funeral of the pastor of our church. We were all in class groups together, with the nuns watching over us. We were supposed to be very solemn, of course. But the anxiety of it caused me to start laughing, as it did for some others. You can imagine what the nuns did. Of course I did not find it funny. I was just nervous. I had never seen a dead person, nor been to a funeral. It was frightening, but I didn't want to act like I was scared in front of my friends. So I giggled. I think, in a way, that is what happens in cases like this. Under it all we have a fear. Some deeper than others, but that is why it is called "terrorism" because it does frighten us.
I hope you have peace in your heart while your children are away and in the service. Again, blessings to you and yours.
:') Hang in there.
I'm in Istanbul as I type this. I am living just one mile north of the Galata Bridge where the bomb took place. Not cool to say the least. :)
I take the ferry that is only 100 yards from the bridge to work every day...

Associated Press Writer
ISTANBUL, Turkey (AP) - A bomb blast at an Istanbul cafe late Saturday night injured three people, police said.
The blast, which police said was caused by either a remote-controlled bomb or a bomb on a timer, took place at a cafe at the bottom of the Galata bridge, a popular area for tourists and Turks to go for fish dinners.
The injured included a Dutch citizen and a Turk who worked at the cafe, the Anatolia news agency reported. There were no immediate details on the third person who was injured, but police said that none of the injuries was serious.
A police official said police suspected that Kurdish rebels were behind the attack. The official spoke on condition of anonymity. Turkish civil servants are rarely allowed to speak on the record.
Mashar Adanas, a vendor selling grilled fish sandwiches about 100 meters (yards) away from the cafe, said he felt a violent explosion and then saw people running out of the cafe shouting ``bomb, bomb.''
Mustafa Bulut, who was selling corn from a cart near the blast, said he also saw people running from the cafe.
``I turned around right away and everyone was running. Everyone panicked,'' Bulut said.
Police in white outfits could be seen searching the area near the blast with flashlights for evidence as other police kept onlookers away from the site.
Last Saturday, a bomb placed under a seat of a minibus in a popular Aegean beach resort killed five people, including an Irish teenager and a British woman.
No group has claimed responsibility for that blast, but suspicion also fell on Kurdish guerrillas.
Best to be careful and keep a low profile right now.
Take care
I suspect there is a lot of freelancing going on now. The hatred towards Westerners is pretty strong. And the hatred of Kurds towards Turks is even stronger...
