Tom Tancredo Eyes White House Run
SFGate ^

Tom Tancredo has been called a one-trick pony of a politician, a man out of step with his party, a bigot. The Republican congressman vehemently opposes illegal immigration, and he created an uproar last week when he talked about nuking Muslim holy sites.
"Unless I misread the political tea leaves, there is a great deal of support for what I say," Tancredo said.
Experts say Tancredo has no chance at the White House, but like Ross Perot's campaign on a balanced budget in 1992, he has found an issue that could force other Republicans to treat immigration as a major issue.

"Nah I have concerns about self-serving backstabbing politicians like tancredo."If you weren't among the top three of the Open Border Lobby here at Freerepublic, I might have believed that statement.

If he were the R nominee (which he won't be), he'll be ripped to shreds and left bleeding to death on the floor by the Left. He'll be made into a three-headed, racist, right-wing nutbag. The center (which is where we have to draw votes) will be scared to death of him when it's all over. This psychobabble has been refuted soundly, with Reagan winning consecutive terms and the 1994 GOP takeover of Congress.

He's already sunk his career. He's the punchline of a joke now. Apparently he's got support from somewhere, otherwise he wouldn't even be a Congressman right now.

The same exact AP story without the robotic sybcopahnt replies is at the link below. LOL - of the three of you pro-illegals (you, Cultural Jihad & Bayourod) at least you're able to come up with some good witty replies.

Tancredo is hardly a Reagan....in accomplishment, experience, vision, or communication skills.

That was before he offered to bomb Mecca.

Governorship, Harvard MBA, good vision for taking it to the terrorists, communications skills probably just rate a fair. No, not a Reagan....not sure we'll ever see that again in our lifetime. Bush is probably just the right man (especially in light of the alternative in 2000) for our times.
But no, I don't agree with Harry Reid that George Bush is a loser. And I certainly don't want what the Left has to offer.

Tancredo is hardly a Reagan....in accomplishment, experience, vision, or communication skills. The same could easily describe Bush.

I never said once that President George Bush is a loser.
I have repeated at least 1,000 times that he has neglected the security of our Southern Border by not reinforcing our Border Patrol with the means and authority they need to bring to a halt the 3 million illegal aliens now pouring over that border every year.
It is incomprehensible.

I cannot understand either why Bush would have so many of our military killed and maimed in Iraq, yet won't protect our borders.
Our military should be on the borders and rounding up and deporting these hordes of terrorists/criminals who are invading our country. And it is an invasion.
