Prayer request for my niece
Family

My oldest niece had a triple bypass within the last couple of days at Texas Heart Institute (Houston or St. Luke's Episcopal or whichever name you wish to use).
It is now necessary that she await a donor heart and will undergo a heart transplant.
When I heard this I was in shock, as I did not know that transplants were used anymore (excuse my ignorance).
My entire family asks for the prayers of each of you for Judy. Her Dad, my brother Dan, entered eternity two years ago this last July 14th.
We are reeling with the news of Judy's need and ask that you join us in prayer and help us fight off this feeling of helplessness. Her husband John, and her children will feel the comfort of your prayers as well.
I cannot spend much time online, as my phone company stated last week that my online account (on a separate line from the house) is "rolling over" to an unacceptable prefix for which they intend to charge me as an improper usage of a residential phone ... and which will cost me about 18 cents a minute.

A good friend of mine who was in his thirties just went through a heart transplant. Luckily, the operation went very smooth, and he is in great shape.
Less than a month after he received his new heart he was going for walks and doing light physical activity.
I don't know how common it is, but once he had a heart, it seemed fairly quick.
Prayers for your niece, and all families that have lost loved ones whose organs have helped others live!

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and Judy for physical healing as well as peace in this emotionally turbulent time.
Take care, FRiend.

I know how special nieces can be. Prayers going up here in the Name of our Lord Jesus for healing for your niece, wisdom for her doctors, and peace for you and the rest of her family.
Blessings!

I am not a medical person, but I think heart transplants are still fairly common. The difference is that their success rate is fairly high now, so you don't read about them that often. I remember a couple of years ago there was a big spread in the newspaper here showing a large group of people of all ages who were succussful recipients. They were having a reunion at the heart unit and were all wearing matching T-shirts (with a heart on their breasts, of course).
Prayers up for your niece and for your on-line problems. We can't lose your valuable input to FR.
St. Luke's Houston is one of the finest institutions in the country. I used to live in the Houston area when DeBakey was active there. He was a real pioneer with this surgery.

May God bless your whole family and heal Judy as quickly as possible.

Thank you and I will, in turn, pray for your special requests. Judy's story in our family is wonderful and so is she!
My sister who is Illinois and I have been in contact about Judy -- the never smoked. exercise girl and woman.
Judy became a grandmother in the last few years and could not be prouder! She is in her very early 50's and this is a shock to my family which has been hit by many other members undergoing remarkable physical trials.

I guess that I "came to" after I had started this thread, but thanks especially to those who did reassure me about heart transplants -- IL Republican, I believe you were one of those.
Judy's general good health and great life style will be to her advantage, I pray.
But we all have put her in God's loving hands and trust to His care for her and her loved family.

Thanks especially for your information too, An American Mother ... I hope that BlessedbeGod can go to that Darien shrine and pray especially for this grandaughter of a Third Order Carmelite and niece of a Sister of Mt. Carmel.
Thanks to all of you who are praying with me and for Judy's' family, which extends across this country.
I remember the strength of our FR Prayer Warriors in so many cases ... May Jesus allow this prayer chain to be heard as well!
To: NRA2BFree
Thank you so much NRA2 ... your prayers are appreciated.
To: Siobhan
My dear and close FRiend in Christ ... thank you so much -- please keep Judy, John and her family in your special Prayer Circle as a recipient of that Circle's Power!
