My oldest niece had a triple bypass within the last couple of days at Texas Heart Institute (Houston or St. Luke's Episcopal or whichever name you wish to use).
It is now necessary that she await a donor heart and will undergo a heart transplant.
When I heard this I was in shock, as I did not know that transplants were used anymore (excuse my ignorance).
My entire family asks for the prayers of each of you for Judy. Her Dad, my brother Dan, entered eternity two years ago this last July 14th.
We are reeling with the news of Judy's need and ask that you join us in prayer and help us fight off this feeling of helplessness. Her husband John, and her children will feel the comfort of your prayers as well.
I cannot spend much time online, as my phone company stated last week that my online account (on a separate line from the house) is "rolling over" to an unacceptable prefix for which they intend to charge me as an improper usage of a residential phone ... and which will cost me about 18 cents a minute.
G-d be with you and yours in your time of need.
PS, you might want to consider switching over to a more serious internet provider, or even cable, if you can find the money. Just a thought.
Prayers sent!
Salvation, please give me a hand here in assembling the Prayer Warriors.

Will pray for your niece.
As to frequency of transplants, there are some incredible procedures being done. Heart, lung, etc. Here in Madison, the UW Hospital Transplant Center is very busy. Ten years ago, my mother in law was in the hospital with a heart attack. The doctors recommended a transplant, but she refused. They instead did a quadruple bypass.
While she was there, we spoke with another family whose son (in his 20s) received a double-lung & heart transplant. He'd been born with a heart defect that, over time, caused lung damage. His mother was so thrilled that, for the first time since he'd been born, his lips were not blue. At the same time, she was distraught over the loss to the donor's family (donor was a traffic accident victim, also young).

AKA Elena, My prayers go up for your niece. God's strength and healing for Judy. God's guidance for her doctors. God's peace for the family who worries for her.
Blessings,
trussell
If you want on/off my prayer ping list, please let me know. All requests happily honored.
Praying for Judy, and for your family as well. She is in God's Hands and He is a mighty BIG GOD! Coming from a family with major heart issues, I can well understand your pain right now.
