I've been convinced for several months (and posting it here on FR) that a self-centered blowhard like Joe Wilson - who is demonstrably fast and loose with the truth - probably told every every person in DC that Plame worked for CIA.
I include cabbies, waiters, and the trash man, not to mention all of his leftie reporter pals and of course his Northwest DC cocktail party milieu.

It was a dark time in America! George W wanted to start a war that would oust a dictator who worked with Al Qaeda, thus cementing his reputation as a liberator. The DUmmies wept! The Democrats in congress trembled! Bush quoted British intel! Kerry supporter Valerie Plame had an idea and sent future Kerry advisor hubby to investigate something other than what Bush said. Hubby found nothing that pertained to what Bush said! DUmmies continued to weep, but tears of joy! The NYT was ecstatic! Karl Rove was accussed! Alas, they all went off to celebrate in a hippie bus, and Ted Kennedy took the wheel! THE END!
