Abortion Drug Company Boasts That 460,000 American Babies Were Killed in Five Years

NEW YORK, July 19, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) - More than 460,000 US women have used the abortion drug, RU-486, to kill their unborn children since the US Food and Drug Administration approved sale of the drug in 2000, the abortifacient's manufacturer, Danco Laboratories, boasted in a press release Monday.

"Mifeprex® has been available in the U.S. for almost 5 years, and more than 460,000 women in this country have chosen it for early abortion since FDA approval in September 2000," the Danco press release stated.

Campaign Life Coalition spokesman Rhonda Wood told LifeSiteNews.com, "I've been involved in the pro-life movement for 17 years," adding, "it still blows me away that no one is considering the life that is being killed."

The Danco press release was issued after the manufacturer decided to include a warning on the drug's label citing potentially fatal side effects.

460,000 dead babies! How proud they must be!

Where will this all end? Killing babies is not something ANY civilized society can survive.

I don't like it either, but I'm starting to feel that fewer libs having kids has been a good thing.

I wonder if they keep racial statistics on the women who take this drug.

This drug causes a miscarriage.

Miscarriages happen without the aid of this drug.

I suppose that's OK since it's God doing the killing.

Danco is the outfit that produces this stuff (made in China BTW)- from a WSJ article:

"Danco is not believed to have any other product besides RU486. Occupying the 13th floor of a Manhattan office building, with an unlisted phone number, the Wall Street Journal says Danco has avoided the spotlight, spending its time raising money for the RU486 project, finding a manufacturer, seeking government approval for the drug, and resolving internal conflicts. Danco is headed by former Merck & Co. marketing executive Roy Karnovsky."

There is the world of difference between a natural death and deliberate, premeditated killing.

There is the world of difference between a natural death and deliberate, premeditated killing.

Since God is all powerful, it must be his will that some babies die before they are born.

Calling it "natural" doesn't absolve him of responsibility.

So why is it wrong when humans cause a miscarriage, but OK when god kills babies?

God is all powerful. Nothing happens unless it is the will of God.

Some babies die before they are born because of miscarriage. This is God's will.

However, when a human wills the same thing, this is called murder.

So, why don't we call God a murderer then?

They won't be proud forever. If "fetuses" have souls, they are in severe trouble.

At least you admit that you don't know if they do.

That's one thing I've wondered about for a long time. Assuming God exists, how can we know when he puts a soul into a fetus? It seems that there must be some minimum amount of growth before a body will support a consciousness or mind. How do we know god doesn't put a soul into a fetus after 6 months?

Yet we have many people here crying "murder" as if they know when god puts souls in bodies.

I still think it's murder, whether they have souls, or not. And a soul is commonly referred to as that part of a person that never dies, unlike his mind.
