President Bush met today with Australia‘s President John Howard, welcoming him to the White House, after which the two had a joint press conference regarding the shared goals of our two countries in winning the War on Terror. First Lady Laura later attended an exhibition of Winslow Homer at the National Gallery of Art with Australia’s First Lady, Janette Howard and her son Richard.
It was also announced today that the President would be making a prime time announcement at 9:00 this evening to reveal the name (after much speculation), of his Supreme Court nominee to replace retiring Sandra Day O‘Connor.
From the look on the President’s face today, it could be a fun announcement tonight! ENJOY your trip to Sanity Island, and the Daily Dose!!

Hi, Mike. As usual, this thread is quite informative and I appreciate you all's comments, and the pictures you post. Where else would one see all those pictures of the welcoming ceremony and the state dinner for Prime Minister Singh and Judge Roberts and all. And where else would such a well informed bunch but on this thread. I have been working outside all day in the sun and it is really hot and I am tired and I don't have TV or radio but in thirty minutes reading this thread I am up to date on important events, so thank you all.
