THE NY TIMES CAN'T UNDERSTAND… -- Left Still In Denial On Islamofascist Threat!
Iconoclast ^ | by Steven Rittenberg

The New York Times is baffled. In one of their chin pulling, deeply empathic investigations into the backgrounds of the four savage London jihadis -- oh, excuse us, of those cricket loving, charming young men -- it troubles the Times to report they found no explanation for the bloody London subway bombings carried out by these young men.

No explanation, why? Well, for starters, one of these young lads, Mr. Tanweer, was "infinitely likable", and "...He was a good lad, so down-to-earth," said a friend who played cricket with him the day before the bombing..."

This would be perfect for the Times psychobabblers: a 'good lad' driven to desparation and suicide by deprivation and discrimination. Still, they came up empty in their search for evidence. They throw up their hands, baffled and unable to comprehend.....

Here we see yet another similarity between the dynamic of mushy liberalism and the dynamic of militant Islam.

How many have heard Rush talk about the mind-set of many American liberals: well, I'm doing OK, but my neighbors... well I'm really worried about them. They're hurting. That's why I can't vote for the GOP.

In this essay, we see a grotesque distorted mirror-image of this attitude: well, I'm doing OK, western culture isn't hurting me, but my brothers down the street, or back home, or wherever... they're being ground into the dirt under the boot heel of Bush imperialism. That's why I'm going to become a shaheed and see how many innocent working stiffs I can blow up this morning.

The thing about this mentality is that it is very abstract, and therefore essentially unprovable. It is also very hard to refute, especially given the overwhelming flood of poppycock and propaganda that spews forth from the mass media. The cost of spewing bilge that pollutes the thought processes of literally billions of people is now so low that it's becoming a real problem. Sort of "political spam."

As usual, those who know how to make a buck off the ignorance are right on top of this trend. And, one way or the other, it is money that is driving all this islamo-slaughter. Someone's getting very rich off it, I suspect.

Prosecutors said that Bouyeri shot Mr van Gogh on a busy Amsterdam street as the film-maker cycled to his office. Wounded, Mr van Gogh pleaded: "We can still talk about it! Don't do it! Don't do it."

The court was told that Bouyeri shot his victim six times then slit his throat with a kitchen knife, severing Mr van Gogh's neck down to the backbone before impaling to his chest with the knife a five-page note threatening other public figures.

That's what I think the typical New York Times reporter would do in the same situation. "We can still talk about it!" Why? Because they can't comprehend that the hate isn't rational and there is nothing to talk about with these people.

In the NYT reality, there is no GoOD, and there is no dEVIL, just souless zombies without any motivation from a spiritual being.

The NYT may as well come up with as suitable language out of Wingdings or the Symbol font on a keyboard that is not qwerty. Then they can understand their own babel, get the h* out of the way, and let the rest of us fight this thing. Someday, however, even the NYT in all their stupefaction, thickheadedness and turbidity will have to come to the realization that they themselves are the enemy to freedom insofar as they enable all those who would destroy the US and its allies. By that time, their own rigor may have set in process on the corpses of so many dead and wounded that the NYT will not be read as much as used to soak up BITS.

You're right.

Why does the left embrace terrorism as it does? Simple--"The enemy of my enemy is my friend." The right is so hated by the left that they're willing to accept terrorism as a means of destroying their enemy. It's sick and belies a fundamental pathology of leftist ideology. It's only when, as you said, the bodies pile up outside their own homes will they realize the deal they've made with the devil, and it may well be too late by then.

Terrific post, Apolitical! Thanks for finding this one! I wouldn't want to miss it! What an outstanding piece!

"Thus, with a straight face, do the secular multiculturalists at the NY Times, the same NY Times which constantly warns of the dangers of Christian theocracy in America, inform us that Islam "set him straight." Straight on the path to mass murder of innocent civilians!"

That says it all! How utterly dumb are these liberal writers. I can't even bring myself to refer to them as "journalists." They're just too stupid to merit the title.

the Right is often in denial as well. Witness the hysterical reaction to Tancredo's reasonable comments.

You know Char, this is what happens to minds that are submerged in radical liberalism for so long, and getting away with modifying reality (to suit the liberal agenda) for so long. They cannot handle REALITY. They are still living in their world of "if you print it, it is true, because we say so"....that world have been ripped apart by the NEW MEDIA and they are exposed --- and like the cockroaches they are, they are running for cover in a state of total disarray.

Yes, and I'm fervently hoping that the alternate sources of information (like Free Republic et al) will weigh in heavily to defeat Madame The Wannabe Empress when she makes her power grab in 2008.

I keep thinking that if we made a big difference in the 2004 election, then it should be even greater in 2008. I'm assuming that my hope isn't an idle one, because this nation can not only NOT afford to have these Clintons set FOOT (feet?) into our White House ever again, but we have to do such a job of discrediting liberalism that it will die out as the nasty, socialist, unamerican ideology that it is.

Thanks for your comments, Eagle. I always enjoy what you have to say. . . great contributions to every thread in which you participate!
