I have seen this bumper sticker on several cars while driving around in Los Angeles area: "No one died when Clinton lied".
Wait a minute...Didn't Clinton order air strikes while the investigation of his perjury was going on? Didn't people die during the bombing of the "chemical weapons factory"?
UNICEF: Clinton's WMD Intelligence Killed more Than Bush's WMD
Intelligence
Democrat's lead by Clinton had only one approach to the Iraq problem,
and that was one of containment along with bombings (some small, some
BIG and some even MASSIVE.)
This approach lead to over 1.2 million senseless deaths that most
liberals enjoyed and supported because there was little resemblance to
the act of war as they picture war to be; no ground invasion involved
- as they put it. Why did the democrats support sanctions? Because
Saddam was evil and intelligence indicated Saddam was still a threat.
Scott Ritter found lots of WMD, even said in 1998 Saddam could be back
in business of producing WMD in 6 months.
So what changed between the Clinton administration and the Bush
administration? Not much. There was no longer any weapons inspections
since Ritter made the above comment and there was no active weapons
inspections when Bush came into office. Four year absence. All Bush had
to go on was what Clinton had to go on plus four unsupervised years
untill November 27, 2002, when inspectors returned.
While Saddam was what Hans Blix called cooperative on the 'process',
inspectors were still getting their chains pulled and jacked around as
they did in the 90's. Bush said enough is enough, I am going to find out
for myself what Saddam really has or doesn't have because it would be
too risky to leave the security of the US on the word of a pathological
liar known for revenge.
Clinton once said "And some day, some way, I guarantee you he'll
[Saddam] use the arsenal. . . . In the next century, the community of
nations may see more and more of the very kind of threat Iraq poses
now--a rogue state with weapons of mass destruction, ready to use them
or provide them to terrorists, drug traffickers, or organized criminals
who travel the world among us unnoticed."
Bush took action based on all the same indicators Clinton had, and had
the same fears found in his above prophecy. Clinton's policy left a far
greater death toll then any action to remove Saddam could ever produce.
To do nothing can be far more costly than action itself.
Death, Disease, and Malnutrition in Iraq --Each month 5,000 to 6,000
children died as a result of the sanctions. (WHO, 1998).
--In the heavily-populated southern and central parts of the country,
children under five died at more than twice the rate they were 10 years
ago. "If the substantial reduction in child mortality throughout Iraq
during the 1980s had continued through the 1990s, there would have been
half a million fewer deaths of children under five" from 1991 to 1998."
(UNICEF, 1999).
--Approximately 250 people die every day in Iraq due to the sanctions.
(UNICEF, 1998).
--Seven years after the imposition of the blockade on the people of
Iraq, more than 1.2 million people, including 750,000 children below the
age of five, have died because of the scarcity of food and medicine. 32
percent of children under age 5, some 960,000 children, are chronically
malnourished_a rise of 72 percent since 1991. 23% are underweight
- twice as high as the levels found in neighboring Jordan or Turkey.
(UNICEF, 1997) --More than 4,500 children under age 5 died every month
in Iraq. (UNICEF, 1996)
--There has been a resurgence of vaccine-preventable diseases, including
polio, diphtheria and measles. (UNICEF, 1993)
Bill Hoehn appears to be the creator or the bumper sticker slogan. He may also run a web site www.noonedied.com
My neighbor has a Kerry,a peace and an anti Bush sticker on her van,it makes me ill.Any sites where I can get a really good pro Bush, anti Kerry shirt?
What about Vince Foster and all the other Arkancides?
...and the lack of a "support our troops" ribbon or American flag.
Or don't they count it when Americans die as a result of a CinC getting a BJ in the oval office instead of taking care of business.
Can we fit that on a bumber sticker?
Hey, good point! I told a liberal that once. He clarified that he was referring to when Clinton lied about Monica.
When I am stuck in slow traffic and I try and peak around with my car to see what the heck is going on up front, almost without fail, the problem is caused by a clueless, scared, stupid person with a Kerry-Edwards bumper sticker. I'm not making this up. I may be exaggerating a little, but not much.
Yourself in the mirror?
Why didn't Clinton just "go in and grab him"? LOL
Which idiot? The one in the VW bug or the Volvo?
I wonder what these mental giants would think of all these "liars"........

Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real..."

"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force -- if necessary -- to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security."
- Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002 | Source
"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line."
- President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998 | Source

- Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18, 1998 | Source
"[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs."

"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country."
- Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002 | Source
"Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power."

"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction."
- Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002 | Source
"The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons..."
- Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002 | Source
"There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years ... We also should remember we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction."
- Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002 | Source
"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members ... It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons."

Having problems downloading, so I'll just post the link. The article outlines the many Serbian civilians killed.
It mentions the bombing of a Serbian bridge, which I recall quite clearly. I remember back then, Clinton supporters shrugging off the killing of Serbs.
If that darned Algore hadn't invented the handy internet, we wouldn't have all of the resources available at our fingertips to disprove their lies. Thanks Al.
Nobody died when Clinton lied? I don't think so.
P.S. Remember Waco.
The only people who died when Bush 'lied' were scum sucking Islamofascist terrorists who weren't worth a bucket of lukewarm camel dung. IMHO. I say good riddance.
Hmmm odd...
