U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer and Ambassador Joseph Wilson will hold a press conference at 3:00pm TODAY, July 14, 2005 in the Mansfield Room of the U.S. Capitol to call for the suspension of White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove' security clearance until the investigation of the leak of CIA Agent Valerie Plame's identity is resolved.

The Democrat press is on. This is The Issue they're going to use--seminar callers, DUmmies, senators, reps, Dean, MSM--they're all converging on this because they're DROOLING to make a direct hit on Bush. And this is the type of thing about which "appearances" are as bad as the worst reality.
My only hope is that Bush is too stubborn to turn on an ally. I suspect he knows this, too, shall pass. If only the Republicans would hunker down and support him and call this a political witch hunt, which is what it is--a hunt for something that isn't there.
