U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer and Ambassador Joseph Wilson will hold a press conference at 3:00pm TODAY, July 14, 2005 in the Mansfield Room of the U.S. Capitol to call for the suspension of White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove' security clearance until the investigation of the leak of CIA Agent Valerie Plame's identity is resolved.

Someone needs to forward a copy of the Butler Report and the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence Report to them. The Intelligence Committee report said that Wilson's trip to Niger "lent more credibility to the original Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) reports on the uranium deal." The Butler Report affirmed what the British government had said about the Niger uranium story back in 2003, and specifically endorsed what Bush said as well. An excerpt:
By extension, we conclude also that the statement in President Bush’s State of the Union Address of 28 January 2003 that “The British Government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa” was well-founded.
Both the US and British investigations make clear that some forged Italian documents, exposed as fakes soon after Bush spoke, were not the basis for the British intelligence Bush cited, or the CIA's conclusion that Iraq was trying to get uranium.

But you know that link doesn't say Wilson claims the VP sent him. It says the VP's office wanted information so the agency sent him. We need a better quote to call that one a lie.
I have not tried this e-mail address, but it used to be Wilson's private account (Plame posted it on a geneological forum in 2000 seeking info).

It appears to me that Berger's only relation to this is tit-for-tat politics. They're probably asking for Rove's security clearance to be revoked in retaliation for Berger's revoked clearance. That's how it works in Washington, one for you, one for me, one for you, one for me...

we were on political offense regarding Durbin. yes, it could have gone farther, but when you have guys like McCain running to the senate floor saying "let's put this behind us" 30 seconds after Durbin apologizes, you have to take what you can get. But all in all, we made some good points with the whole Durbin incident, and the Dems alowed their veil to drop for just a moment, so people can see who they really are.
we could be doing alot better in the spin department regarding Wilson - especially given the facts on our side. it can't just be talk radio and FR taking up the charge of rebuttal to discredit him.

A Court Brief was linked to on another thread proving that 36 media outlets (including CNN, MSNBC, Newpaper consortiums) said NO CRIME has been committed. Also page 7 of this brief shows that all these media outlets said Plame was NOT COVERT:
