Exactly. Joran didn't plan to kill her. She died on him. Maybe during sex, maybe not. He and the Kalpoes are on drugs and they hastily bury her on the beach. He thinks that he didn't mean to do anything wrong just having fun.
Sociopathic thought. Gets home, tells dad, they go back and dig her up. Dad plans on getting rid of the body the next night after the bars close but who shows up? Beth and who I believe has been referred to as the Alabama posse. Joran and Deepak are messed up again which accounts for his actions towards Beth and Jug. Dad is coherent and trying to make drugged-up Joran shut up. Dad disposes of body so that Joran can't know where it is.
Joran, depressed because of withdrawals from his nightly Ecstasy romps, breaks down on June 11 and confesses to "killing her" and "burying her near the Fishermen's Huts". Van der Stratten steps in and pays back any favors that Paulus has ever done by pulling the confession and telling Joran to sit tight because what his father said is true. "No body, no crime."

I so hope & pray this family gets some sort of resolution soon!! It's been way too long and too many errors have been made by the folks in Aruba.

It might have been from someone on the other plane that dialed it accidently... I get those calls all the time with messages that dont make sense b/c it's just an accidental call. It was received when we were on our way home on the bus from Atlanta... it was at night, not that morning.

I thought cutting their drugs with baking soda was bad LOL. My son is asthmatic and he uses Berotec. Basically, the asthma inhalers are all pretty much the same except for the steroid ones. I can't see Natalee, a Bible study girl, using Ecstacy of her own accord can you?

I just saw a lawyer posting on SM that the statute of limitations for manslaughter/murder on Aruba is 18 years. And that if Joran is not charged when he gets out of jail they compensate him for his time!!


I thought I had read that they only had two years from his confinement to charge him or the case was closed. And when closed evidence is destroyed. Geeze.
