The best thing to come out of all of this is the Democrats remain in the minority for a generation or two.
The MSM would love to see Rove prosecuted, but I don't think that's really the goal. I think the main thing is just to smear him and distract the White House.
I work part time in a law firm and have asked the attorneys how they feel this will turn out. All of them have told me[and most of these guys are defense attorneys and way liberal] that Rove has done nothing illegal and cannot be prosecuted for anything,but don't expect the RATS to give up on this.

I watched " Karl Rove- Bush's Brain " this past week end.
It was a poorly done " documentary."
The film interviewed former college rivals , defeated Texas candidates, convicted Texas Democrats ,disgruntled McCain aides, liberal anti Bush reporters and Molly Ivins.
Every single person blamed Karl Rove for their troubles, but, every single person added the disclaimer that " they had no proof ,there was no evidence, but, they just knew Karl Rove was responsible."
It was an orgy of paranoia completely lacking in substance.
One of my favorite clips was a group of Texas Democrats who were investigated by the FBI , indicted, convicted and sent to prison.
They are convinced that Karl Rove orchestrated everything from the FBI investigation to the evidence to the indictments to the jury conviction, etc.
And these people were deadly serious.
The other funny clip was a Washington Post reporter ( IRRC ) who was convinced that Karl Rove leaked Plame's name " because they both attend the same Episcopal church in DC."
The only thing they didn't blame Rove for was the Lindbergh kidnapping , but, I am sure it's just a matter of time.
