I watched " Karl Rove- Bush's Brain " this past week end.
It was a poorly done " documentary."
The film interviewed former college rivals , defeated Texas candidates, convicted Texas Democrats ,disgruntled McCain aides, liberal anti Bush reporters and Molly Ivins.
Every single person blamed Karl Rove for their troubles, but, every single person added the disclaimer that " they had no proof ,there was no evidence, but, they just knew Karl Rove was responsible."
It was an orgy of paranoia completely lacking in substance.
One of my favorite clips was a group of Texas Democrats who were investigated by the FBI , indicted, convicted and sent to prison.
They are convinced that Karl Rove orchestrated everything from the FBI investigation to the evidence to the indictments to the jury conviction, etc.
And these people were deadly serious.
The other funny clip was a Washington Post reporter ( IRRC ) who was convinced that Karl Rove leaked Plame's name " because they both attend the same Episcopal church in DC."
The only thing they didn't blame Rove for was the Lindbergh kidnapping , but, I am sure it's just a matter of time.
After reading your post I was laughing so hard I now HAVE to go out and rent the film. It sounds hysterical! ''It was an orgy of paranoia'' what a great line! Yeah! These people defiantly live on'' conspiracy theories.'' They are all around them. The conspiracies go all the way from the ordinary ones like when I went to a fund raiser for Bush here in Santa Monica. There was a huge turnout for Bush on the streets with our ''Welcome to LA'' signs and the Kerry crowd showed up to harass and jeer us and were so angry cause so many Bush supporters showed up.Two Kerry creeps came up to me and my friend and screamed '' You guys were all'' bussed'' in by Karl Rove and everybody knows it!I guess it was too much for their little minds to grasp that there are actually Bush supporters that live right here in Los Angeles. It goes all the way from that to on the night of the election........A women who's a second grade teacher[this it what makes it scary]........recently made a statement that .......Bush had a ''secret computer'' under his bed and on the night of the election he and Karl Rove were manipulating the numbers of votes they needed to get Bush over the top and win the election! .........This women is a teacher!!! These people are nuts and I pray that they never get the reigns of power again cause I would be scared for my country!
