Dems Leak Bush's Court Short List
Top Senate Democrats floated the names of potential candidates for the Supreme Court on Tuesday in a meeting with President Bush, describing them as...

Maybe we can get a few of the pubs to help filibuster.
No. Not possible anymore. There are two projects of interest that will be affected, one being the War on Terrorists of Global Reach, the other being NASA's Moon, Mars and Beyond. Another project is the migration to non-dependance on foreign oil imports. We could make quite a list of such long-term undertakings, all of which could be swept under the carpet with the press already handing out brooms. The next leader should already be apparent, but I hear nothing but names of local politicians who have a single issue at most and no opinion on most of these long-term national issues.
Cordially,
Congressman Billybob
FGS, you need help; we were here BEFORE you were....how could YOU attract US?
Issues, issues, we all have issues.
Weh....whiner.
The only candidate that the Dems will be happy with, is one that they choose. And here I thought that it was the POTUS's job to nominate them. What a doofus I am...
Kinda makes ya wanna tune in again tomorrow, eh? These libs are bizarro.....
You have no clue who we are, what we do or how we do it with respect to advancing conservativism. And as for you attracting us, ahem..... most of us have been here before you, newbie, so who attracted whom?
The Dems are complaining right now that these "talks" are all one sided; they talk and Bush listens.
And the White House is not going to "run the names past the Democrats" before he makes the announcement.
ew...
I'm holding out hope for a ranting, wild-eyed, fire-breathing conservative.
No, I'm trying to just show a picture of thread school marm! :-)
I thought the pictures were intriguing. Who is it? Looks like Winona Ryder.
The really funny thing is, the Left will go after these two obscure, squishy moderate judges with a vengeance. MoveOn will be howling about how they make Clarence Thomas look "mainstream." Reid and the rest of the Dims are being too clever for their own good. Besides demonstrating for the whole world to see just what their promise to not talk to the media about this is worth (nothing), they're about to get scorched by their loony tune base, people who think Ruth Bader-Ginsberg is as far right as Scalia.

I hope so. But I wish he'd dump this "bipartisan" stuff. As somebody who was out there ringing doorbells and walking through towns I didn't even know existed, I feel rather betrayed that the first thought of the GOP is for the Dems and their "feelings," rather than for the rest of us.
As for the Dems, you can be as nice as you want, but they're never going to return the favor. I think Bush shouldn't waste his time going that route.
You know what they say about assumptions.....
And they wonder why I can't totally commit to their side, with rhetoric like this, their breathless 'invader' talk, and VERY selective outrage (by their examples, you would think we only had a SOUTHERN border).
The funny thing is, I'm sympathetic to their cause. I just can't stand them.
LOL. A Fred Thompson clip, I presume?
But he sure is generating a lot of responses. Kind of makes you go hmmmmmm.
