I just got off the phone with someone at the French embassy. I very politely told them that they should not use their embassy for a fundraiser for a domestic politcal issue like gun control and urged them to cancel it.
The person on the phone thanked me for my comments and said they value imput from the community.
PLEASE be polite, but firm, when you call.

Here's the letter we've faxed to the embassy:
A Letter to the French Embassy
And here's a suggested letter you can send along to the embassy. Please, try to either fax or send snail mail - it makes much more of an impact!
Mr. Ambassador: I am a supporter of the nearly 100 million gun owners in the United States who oppose your collaboration with the Brady Campaign and its efforts to undermine the rights of American citizens.
The Brady Campaign uses its funds to lobby for legislation that places severe restrictions on gun ownership in the United States. Studies have shown that gun control only serves to increase the rates of violent crime because criminals will not obey these laws; the restrictions that the Brady Campaign calls for only effect those who choose to obey them. Law-abiding citizens such as myself will therefore be at the mercy of those to whom laws means nothing.
I hereby ask that you withdraw your support for the Brady Campaigns fundraising effort.
Sincerely,
sign your name!
And please pass the word along. Wouldn't it be nice to flood the French embassy with letters and faxes from gun rights supporters?

The French wouldn't know what to do with a gun much less the right to bear one. LOL

I have to say that you are very consistent in your opinions and you don't beat around the bush like a lot of people.
