The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

Whackjob George Noory just discussed the threat of nuclear terror in the U.S. Supposedly, several nukes have already been sneaked in over the Mexican border. Plans are to hit New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, and Los Angeles to kill 4 million people. This was from a Joseph Farah story.

I had not seen that particular article, interesting. As far as Shukrijumah, and Sidiqqui... I have followed both from time to time, el Shukri the most.

I need to go back to that, I haven't touched it since last summer. The information coming out on him was pretty scary, lots of connections to nuclear material, info, dirty bomb stuff, etc. Also likely connected to Jose Padilla at some point. We were tracking him on an older thread here last summer, as it seemed he was headed north from central American (possibly into the U.S.) He seems to have fallen off the radar since, which is not good news I guess... considering he looks quite a lot like a Mexican, and could easily mesh into a southern border community.

Guess what brought me back to the Matrix threads?

I had the radio on late in the evening last week and Coast-to-Coast AM had just begun. I hardly listen to radio or C2C. I did listen to it for a while a few years back.

Anyhow, guess who was at the top of the list of guests? That phony Bin-laden-has-been-sacked-and-tagged pseudo military analyst who used to post here his site for subscription to his newsletter. Most of you know whom I'm talking about. Mention of his site has been forbodden here on FR, so I will not mention it. He was just as phony on C2C as he was here, I can assure you.

That's ironic, since that was one of the big things that pushed me away from TM for a while. I'm glad that whole thing has pretty much blown over (at least here). It doesn't surprise me that George Snoory had He Who Shall Not Be Named as a guest. You would think all of the false crap he has tried to sell as "intelligence" would have discredited him, but that's never stopped Snoory in the past. It still saddens me to see people here and on other boards fall for him and his minions.

I read the Farah story, it's definatly a bit sensational.

Overall, it seems as if most FReepers are quick to dismiss the possibility that al Qaida would acquire/be able to acquire nukes or nuclear material to create a bomb. To be honest, I question why anyone would dismiss anything when it comes to this group. They have shown time and time again that their main interest is mass casualty, and spectacular attacks. I strongly believe they would like nothing more than to go that route someday. The top guys in the organization have said that's their plan, and they generally tell us what they are going to do... then do it within a few yrs. They might not have the capability, but I'd want a lot more concrete evidence of that before throwing the possibility out the window.

I don't believe they have 40+ nukes, but I wouldn't be surprised if they managed to get their hands on a few. Then again, my field is politics... not nuclear science, so I know little about the actual feasibility of such a plan.
