Bob Woodward mounted a vigorous defense of Karl Rove on Larry King Live against the accusation that he leaked the secret identity of a CIA undercover agent. He cautioned against jumping to conclusions and said there is no evidence that Rove disclosed the identity of Wilson's wife. He also went on to say that Rover was simply "talking about her", and may not have known her position as a secret, undercover agent. As such, Woodward maintained, Rove did NOT compromise national security or put anyone's life in danger.

I can't stomach going over there; really. Are they now sprawled on the floor, drooling and making weird noises, as they were last November 10?

The DUmmies are not just dumb, but incredibly stupid.
Now they're attacking Woodward and the Washington Post.

He certainly has done better than his co-hort Bernstein.
The only time he gets on TV is after some "scandal" has broken. The first words out of his mouth are always "this is not Watergate".His career ended for all practical purposes in August 1974,Woodward at least knew how to keep his name alive.

Wow, that's a lame thread even for them. I think their jubilation is fading fast.

Re: DU Thread
Their anger is hysterical. I actually enjoy reading their posts.
When the enemy is so consumed with anger that logic escapes them, the next logical step is self destruction.
It doesn't take much to reel them in once the hook is baited and those at The New York Times are the master baiters
To: nwrep
I grudgingly respect Woodward making the point but in the final analysis Woodward is simply pointing out the obvious with some partisan rationale - the quick headlines/accusation will backfire and harm the left and future leakers.
He's covering his political soulmate's asses.

He knows.
He knows this is a manufactured controversy.
He knows the 'evidence' is being fabricated.
He knows that when (not if) this comes out his profession will be DESTROYED.
This is not altruism or any kind of devotion to "truth."
This is attributable to the best motive of all:
Enlightened self interest.

If you ever need to know what the enemy is up to, then you need to spy on them once in while. Better yet, all the while.

Why do I have this feeling that DU is filled with comments like "Traitor Oh, it's worse than that... direct quote "Rove! Rove ! Crucify him! Crucify him!"
