Approximately 2 PM EST, the building that houses several companies on Oak Tree Blvd, opened a suspicious package, several people are ill and have received medical treatment. On of the companies is Clear Channel Radio, Cleveland's WTAM broadcasts there, and currentely are not available to stream their broadcasts. (They are streaming FOX sports.)
Anyone in the Northern Ohio/Western Pennsylvania/Southern Michigan area can receive the live broadcast on WTAM 1100 AM with Mike Trivasonno and his staff, they are broadcasting from a temporary studio set up in the parking lot.
There are no commercials, sports, traffic reports due to the building being evacuated.
Yeah, I see that now. I hope your pals there are okay.
Now allowing people back in the building.
How do you know that they are Catholic?
I'm surrounded by them. There are three other closet Republicans that I know of, but the rest... well...
I was reading an earlier thread about Air America. Seems that Air America is played on WTAM as is Rush Limbaugh.
It sounds like the ultimate "fair and balanced" radio station.
Good photoshop work!
He looks like our UPS guy! LOL...

INDEPENDENCE, Ohio -- A building that houses several radio stations in Independence was evacuated Monday afternoon after a package was found covered in a suspicious liquid, NewsChannel5 reported.
The Independence Fire Department officials said police, fire, EMS, the bomb squad and HAZMAT were called to the scene at the Clear Channel building, on Oak Tree Boulevard, which houses WTAM, WGAR, WMJI and other stations.
The package, which had been sent to a mortgage company also located in the building, was discovered to have a liquid substance on it.
Some employees were complaining of headaches and nausea. One employee drove herself to an urgent care facility, but there were no other hospital transports.
About 500 employees had to be evacuated from the building.
Officials say that the liquid was spilled on the package. The fire department contacted the package's sender, who said that the package only contained paperwork.
No other information is known at this time. Check back for further updates.

I think it's great that you decided to play it safe rather than sorry with the package. BUT - and I'm bringing this up just for future reference and discussion - would a stairwell be the best place to put it?
If it was indeed some type of malicious package, and detonated or released a substance - or just threatened to - then the building would have to be evacuated.
How would the occupants evacuate the building? Through the stairwells, of course! You see the issue here, I hope....

Oh. Yeah. Seattle. Why don't you move down here to relatively sane California?
Listening to Travisonno right now and he has the most annoying Cleveland accent there is.Actually, that's a "nicotine accent". There is no "Cleveland accent". It's considered accentless American English. The radio and TV schools teach it because we don't drawl, slur, or clip any syllables.
Of course Triv never went to radio school. He's pretty much an amateur, even after all these years. Compare him to Rush, or even Kenny Roda or Stern.

Stairwell wouldn't be very good. It's a direct path to every floor in the building, and an escape route.
That's where I moved from!
I'm a native Californian. We moved back up here to be near my husband's dad, who had suffered a stroke, but we had one foot over the state line anyway. We'd pretty much had enough.
I was reading an earlier thread about Air America. Seems that Air America is played on WTAM as is Rush Limbaugh. They have Springer, not ErrAmerica.

Triv was a regular caller to a Cleveland sports talk show (possibly Pete Franklin), and was given the nickname "Mr. Know-it-all".
And there is an Easter bunny also, right? :^)
We have dual stairwells, two on each end of the building and fairly close together. So if one stairwell had gone, the other would be open.
Unless the blast was big enough to take out both stairwells, in which case nowhere I put it would have helped.
I do see your point, however.
Someone didn't like a program?
Maybe Howard Stern mailed them a fart?
