London Bombing: We Are Committed to the War on Terror - (.....but are any liberals "committed?")
CHRONWATCH.COM ^ | JULY 8, 2005 | DR. GREGORY BORSE, PhD, ASS'T EDITOR, Chronwatch.com

Here’s the thing:

London has just suffered a major terrorist attack for which Al Queda has taken responsibility.

Fine.

Seriously. No big deal. What, 40 dead? 700 injured?

Sometime after 9/11 I began writing about Al Queda and terrorist attacks against the United States. My suspicion then was that the attacks against the U.S. were extensions of attacks against the West, but I could not be sure.

Of course, we all knew that the USS Cole and other terrorist attacks were plotted and carried out by Arab terrorists. Heck, even the Clinton Administration knew and prosecuted Arab criminals for the bombing at the Twin Towers long before 9/11. If anyone wondered about terrorist attacks against various targets in the West, 9/11 should have laid them to rest.

But they did not.

The attacks in Madrid confirm that Westerners just don’t get it when it comes to Islamic hate of the West.

So be it.

After 9/11, and shortly after I began writing about the problem of terrorism in the U.S. I received a very polite e-mail from a British subject from Australia who said to me, in essence, “we have been living with terrorism for a long time. We don’t understand your response to it. We police it and make arrests when we can.”

He then went on to tell me just how long Europe had been handling the problem of terrorism. It was decades.

I politely suggested that perhaps the European “solution” had not worked.

In fact, I argued that Americans presently had to deal with it (on 9/11, for instance) because the rest of the West had previously decided to treat it as a “law enforcement” problem rather than a War problem.

Some might remember during Condoleeza Rice’s confirmation hearings just how she described the United States’ stance to terrorism prior to 9/11. She said, accurately, that the United States was “at War” but not on a “War footing.”

We are on a “War footing” now. We are at war now. Britain is at war now. Europe is at war now. Islam is at war now.

Islam declared war long before 9/11. They have re-declared War now—in Britain by killing innocents.

What will our answer be?

Seriously—do we want to allow them to continue to kill our innocents while we continue to ignore the problem or do we want to take the fight to them and stop them before they can blow up another bus?

Londoners—Tell us. We are with you.

Libs, committed?? To only one thing -- the REAQUISITION OF POWER AND CONTROL. It is the sole purpose for their existence. Terror? 9/11 never happened --

I'd like to see the Libs committed; to a padded room wearing jackets that have sleeves that buckle in the back.

Are the liberals committed? Absolutely not. For various reasons, they have no stomach for this war. And the liberal voters are rabid.

It's totally pointless to expect anything productive from the liberals. We must deal with terrorist attacks, and let the liberals screw themselves up.

London's notoriously outspoken Islamists, a media-savvy faction who have publicly praised the September 11 hijackers and called for Islamic law in Britain, have fallen unusually silent since Thursday's rush-hour attack on commuters.

Sheik Omar Bakri Mohammed, the radical cleric known for giving his cell phone number to reporters, did not answer yesterday or the previous day.

The Web site of the sheik's followers was offline, and Anjem Choudhary, his top assistant, refused to comment on the blasts that left scores dead.

In contrast, Muslim clerics and residents of London condemned the bombings without reservation, including one of Mr. Bakri's supporters.

"My reaction is the same as the British public -- it is an act of terrorism and I'm deeply saddened," said Abu Bakar Siddique. "Many innocents lives were lost and many Muslims died."

In his lectures and interviews, Mr. Bakri often walks a fine line between the right to preach and the criminal offense of incitement of violence.

He has repeatedly called the September 11 hijackers "magnificent," and in Internet sermons, as reported by the Times of London, he implores Muslims to fulfill their "duty" of jihad and to support the mujahideen abroad.

Mr. Bakri defended the March 2004 Madrid train bombing, and said that British Muslims should "kill and be killed" for Islam.

To his young supporters, he provides religious guidance and advises them on how to survive in what they perceive as a corrupt and racist society.

His detractors say that behind the cryptic language is an extremist whose incendiary sermons radicalize disenchanted youth.

"Do they think they can continue in this anarchism without paying the price?" Mr. Bakri asked more than 60 men who filled a community center in East London in March. No more than a handful were over 25.

The Syrian-born Mr. Bakri was expelled from Saudi Arabia in 1986 for his inflammatory preaching and involvement in the extremist group Hizb ut-Tahrir. He eventually settled in London.

"He eventually settled in London."

Some thanks Britain gets for giving safe haven to the very extremists who preach hatred and destruction of the very U.K. which takes them in, gives them benefits and tolerates them. My guess is that if Winston Churchill were running things in Britain today, this situation wouldn't exist.

On the other hand, we have the same anti-American imams preaching to their people right here. I can't understand this for the life of me. Pardon my atrocious political incorrectness, but these people don't belong here!

Thanks for your very informative posting.

You say "these people don't belong here".
Why are they in our countries, with values and social structures totally inimicable to their own?
They are here, plotting our total destruction, because we have allowed the "intellegentsia", our University Humanities departments, social workers, MSM and so called "opinion writers" to dictate to us that moral relatavism (everyone is a good as everyone else, just different), post-modernism (no-one can know anything, including the difference between right and wrong) and bleeding heart liberalism (if you happen to live where you can work and earn money you're obliged to bend over backwards and give it to other countries) are the only moral highground; the only way to conduct ourselves or think and Political Correctness must be inforced on everyone.
Why did we do this?
Why did we let them tell us how to think, how to run our lives?
And now we are being infiltrated - Europe, Britain, America, Australia, with these people who cling to and practise the most primitive and savage of ideologies and who are merciless in their aim to destroy us, our culture, everything we stand for.
And Unless the grassroots people - each and every one of us - gets up and forcibly demands that these creatures be returned to their own countries, and then practice building a protective wall around ourselves, that is exactly what they will achieve.
