BBC Five Live are reporting that Birmingham city centre is being evacuated after an security alert. More soon.
Yep 5 pm out time..I know it by heart as my hubby and son were in London til last night! They were 4 blocks from the blasts.
I thought warm lager was the champagne of England. :^)
I suggest Devil's Island.
Is there a good online link to get the statement...or should I just try to go to the BBC?
Exactly. They are just plain evil. And that me more mad than scared of them.
According to an source in B'ham, suspect package was seen on an bus in B'Ham, controlled explosion happened at 8.15pm, this was at Corporation St, since then further reports of other packages have surfaced.
Anything that causes a sudden spurt in the sale of light bulbs is worth concern.
Yikes. Bet that was scary. Caller to the radio station says he's the only guy left on his street, Broad St. Everyone else has bugged, but he's not going. Thinks the alert's a crock.
Seems to me that it is pretty drastic to evacuate a city for some suspicious packages.
Fox has just formally announced that there is a security alert in Birmingham.
none of those muslims has a lip stiff enough to qualify them as a true briton
they will not win. Eventually the culture at large will get sick oftrying ot make excuses for them and send them back over.
the usa nad the uk have not even BEGUN to fight islamic terror cause many are still in denial
but when we get going...oh boy it will be like a hurricane
Some things are above politics. Too bad the liberals over here don't understand that.
Reporter saying Bristol Rd closed off, people pouring down the road. Traffic gridlocked. Some people laughing it off, others looking confused, a few policemen around.
As I have said Media Conference in B'ham @ 22.00 (BST) 14.00 (PST)
I'd go with the Beeb's radio station out of the Birmingham area. They've got live coverage.

LONDON (AP) - Police ordered the evacuation of the entertainment district in central Birmingham late Saturday because of intelligence suggesting a security threat.
Police initially restricted road traffic into the city center, but then ordered an evacuation after receiving further intelligence, a police spokeswoman said on condition of anonymity.
She estimated there were nearly 200 bars and clubs in the Broad Street entertainment district.
Birmingham, 110 miles northwest of London, was the target of one of the worst Irish Republican Army bombings of the 1970s. Twenty-one people died when the IRA bombed two pubs on Nov. 21, 1974.
Just now mentioning this on FNC.
